Jehovah's Witnesses are more interested in Kingdom News than in so-called "news" about Satan's system of things.

Yes, if you thought there are a lot of ??? pertaining to Jehovah's Witnesses now, just wait until we start passing out the one on Religion.

Have been a Witness for 48 years, my wife also.

In many countries, building Kingdom Halls was very challenging and used to take a long time. Some congregations would meet in rented facilities for months—or even years—while construction continued. In one unfinished Kingdom Hall in an African land, a wild parrot took up nesting in the ceiling rafters. Soon the parrot was whistling along with the Kingdom songs, which no one seemed to mind. Work progressed so slowly that the parrot learned to imitate the Watchtower Study conductor, even calling brothers and sisters by name! Eventually, the Kingdom Hall was finished, and the parrot had to find another residence.

As I remember, we did a Kingdom News similar to this one. It was No. 17. The text of it is in the Library. This was back in the early 70's and our tracts were simple one-colour information, not like the full col or tract that No. 37 is.

To convey to my daughter the difference, back in the 70's, religion wasn't as big of a pain to people, nor was there a focus on how religion caused violence on the world scene.

And to show the difference in our area, there was only 1 kingdom hall and 1 congregation in our area at that time. Now, we have 5 kingdom halls, 4 English and 5 Spanish congregations covering that same area.

So, those older KN and our preaching work has had a positive effect in our area over the past 3 decades. Our wish for this KN is to continue that effect, inviting our neighbors to escape the fate of False religion.

Hi,I'm in Australia and yes I am looking forward to the new campaign. And with the pope mouthing off like that, and the Muslims going berserk it makes you wonder how much more the political element is going to put up with before something snaps.Jehovah is certainly putting it into their hearts.I think its a little scary as well.Because Jehovah always lets his people know before it happens, doesnt he and the fact that Kingdom news No 37 is referring to the fall of Babylon the Great makes you wonder???

Hi I am not a JW, but I wanted to ask you what you thought of a specific verse Hebrews 1:6-9. And yes the news is a bit scary. But remember that the Bible tells us that we will hear about wars and rumors of wars. Do JW's believe in the rapture?

I'm looking forward to the campaign.

Heb 1:6-9, I think they're great. but to understand any verse you need the context, and history of the verses to understand them.

vs2: God appointed His Son for a special assignment.

vs 3:And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact (J)representation of His nature, and (K)upholds all things by the word of His power When He had made (L)purification of sins, He (M)sat down at the right hand of the (N)Majesty on high,

Jesus is the exact representation of His (God's) nature and uses (God's) power to accomplish Jehovah's will.

Sitting down on the right hand of God.

vs 4 he has become better than angels and inherits (When someone inherits something, it means they didn't have it prior to.)

vs 5: Says Jesus is begotten, "begotten" means to come to life. Jesus was created or begotten,
Other verses state that Jesus is the only begotten, or the only one directly created by Jehovah, Jesus then became Jehovah's master worker (Prov. 8:30)

vs 6 "worship" in 1611 when we get worship in this verse, the word worship meant to bow down to. It was applied to all people of authority, Kings, princes, judges. "Your Worship" was a common expression given to men.

Yes the angels have been commanded to bow to Jesus recognizing his special space at the right hand of Jehovah.

vs 8 & 9: God is his power, because vs 9 states that is why "God your God anointed you."

To be anointed means to be chosen to represent God.

Yes Hebrews chapter 1 is a wonderful chapter showing Jesus as a loyal worshipper of Jehovah, faithfully fulfilling his assigned position.

Thanks for referencing it.

It's interesting that your homepage doesn't do any e-mails. Also it seems to be a policy not too. From a certain viewpoint I could understand it otherwise God would be sending me e-mails too.Yikes?
