Well it would be nice if they came here because they were seeking the truth and they wanted to find out why people who have faith believe what they do, and in fact some people do come here for that purpose.
But it seems like some people come here because they get some sort of perverse thrill in baiting people of faith and trying to destroy their faith or cause them to doubt or just to post things designed to offend the sensibilities of people who are dedicated to living a life characterized by purity and personal holiness.
As a Christian I just have to be grateful for the opportunity to post the truth in love in the hope that the Holy Spirit will open their hearts so that the seeds of God's word that I attempt to sow will find good ground to land on and God will bring the increase.
Matthew 13:18 "Hear then the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. 20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. 22 As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. 23 As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty."
1 Corinthians 3:7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

At the top of the screen, does the category say "Home > Society & Culture > Christianity"? No it does not and it never did. It says "Religion and Spirituality" in black and white. That means that ALL religions are welcome, even if you don't agree with them. Other religions teach openmindedness and tolerance toward others but Christianity does not. Christians feel and are taught that their religion is the only acceptable thing and how dare anyone else believe differently becasue they must really be looking to be converted even if they won't admit it to themselves. Then they cry wolf about being persecuted. No other religion uses prosetlyzation, harrassment, guilt trips, scare tactics, etc to gain members.
Non-Christians have every right to post in this category because Christians do not own this section even if they think they do. They may be asking for spiritual guidance or whatever, but where is it written into law that it must be Christian spiritual guidance that is the only thing that can be sought out?

You are a fool. Your question is, in a way, indicative of the high regard religious in which believers tend to hold themselves, without any real reason. You think you have a claim to spirituality?? Think again.
Spirituality has nothing to do with believing in your God.
Spirituality is an experience that man has gone through in every culture and civilisation that ever existed. It is about explaining the mysteries. Each individual has their own spirituality. That is what is so frustrating about organised religion. You all lose the ability to have a genuine soul searching spirituality, and instead conform to some template of spirituality and morals.
That is why I consider that many non believers would be morally superior to religious folk.. The non believers have had to develop their own morality, and therefore have a personal ownership... Furthermore, they do not behave for some afterlife reward, but rather just to do the right thing. We have a respect and regard for humans of all kinds, not just our fellow believers.
That is why we are here. To examine our spirituality further, and look at all positions on the subject.
Now why are you here?

Some come with genuine questions. Perhaps they were once believers and want to understand why people believe things. I applaud these people.
Others come to try to trip up believers asking about contradiction in the Bible or asking questions that attempt to pull believers away. Perhaps the found a "new" argument against God's existence or the validity of the Bible These are somewhat annoying, since they are not asking in the spirit of dialog, but as an attack on Christianity. However, usually the question gives us the chance to explain the truth of the situation.
Finally there are the people that ask questions like "why are Christians so stupid." I have no time for this, it is simply throwing mud.
I welcome their presence on here. Perhaps some of them will see that Christianity is a logical and reasonable faith. Maybe their questions will be answered and they will give the Holy Spirit the opening He needs to work on their heart and bring them to knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The last group come simply to be annoying

Actually, I myself can be defined under....
Agnostic spiritualism—the view that there may or may not be a god (or gods), while maintaining a general personal belief in a spiritual aspect of reality, particularly without distinct religious basis, or adherence to any established doctrine or dogma.
I am in this section because I like to learn about others beliefs and share my own without condemning another for thier personal beliefs. Unfortunately both monotheists and athiests use this category as an avenue to attack one another and try to disprove eachothers beliefs(or non-beliefs) I only try to learn from here and express my own opinions in the hopes of sharing knowledge and ideas with others, truly this is the purpose of this section to explore different forms of religion AND spirituality... the category does not "belong" to anyone nor does anyone have more right to be in this section than another. I am in this section to learn and share my own knowledge....

There is more to spirituality than religion. Besides, there are many different religions and beliefs in the world. They have every right to be here, just like you do.
Maybe they want answers, or to give answers.
You do not have to be religious to be spiritual. I know people who do not believe in God, but are very spiritual.
I believe the name of this forum is Religion AND Spirituality.

They have interest in religions. That problem is that the only questions and answers on this website are from troll and joke accounts which makes every religous group look like a bunch of annoying pricks with no tolerance.

A better question would be why do you Xians believe you own this part of Yahoo Answer? As religious person I welcome all non-Xians questions and answers. As for you Xians,I have NEVER came across a religious group so narrowly close minded and arrogant as Xians. For your information there is no one true faith, nor one true god. I for one am sick and tired of Xians cramming their screwed up, and made up, cult down every non-Xian's throat. If you can't take the truth about your cult then you have the choice of not posting here.

Are You talking about athiests, or are you talking about non Christians? I am not a Christian, but I do have a religion and am a very spiritual person. My religion is Wicca. My spirituality comes from withinside me from my higher self. So even though I am not Christian, I am qualified to be on a religion and spirituality site, don't ya think?

I am a believer, but I come here to try and understand fanatical behavior.
Its clear Jesus preached passiveness, peace and love, but so many people have turned these Answer sessions into a pulpit of trying to control others with threatening overtones and bible quotes.
Again you are an example of trying to place everyone in the "non-believer" category to fulfill your agenda of threatening people with God as your bodyguard. Similar to a child hanging on to his mom's shirt tail as he acts out toward others.

This question is asked at least five or six times daily. Perhaps rather than having us all type out the answers every time this pops up it would be more beneficial for you to look through the resolved questions and look at the answers to this that have already been given many times before.
