Good question... it deserves a good answer.
There is very little that exists outside of a few written volumes of man-made text claiming devine influence by which one can offer anything at all to suggest that God ever existed. The Bible, for example, can only point to itself and Torah as proof of Gods being. I'm not quite gullible enough to buy into anything that skimpy of solid support - I don't see how you can.
If a salesman brought you an advertising booklet that claimed his product could do all sorts of fantastic things – produce gold coins if you wanted them – would you believe him? Probably not… If he then pointed to his booklet and found a statement supporting his claim – “this product can produce diamonds and rubies and all forms of metals” – would you be any more likely to believe him? Probably not… “But it’s written here in the booklet,” he would say, and you might say, “So plug it in and make an emerald.” …. When he gave you a lame excuse of why it couldn't be tested before purchase, pointing out the rule in his little booklet, what would you be likely to believe and would you be willing to buy his product?
The oldest suggestions of Gods came long before the Bible... and long before the Quran and Torah, and they suggested completely different ideas of what Gods were like.... take Zeus for example. Where was God for those thousand of years before the birth of Christ? Why would the early people of China, several thousand years before Christ, be denied Gods word? Why would God choose only the Jews...? Why would the Hindu have multiple Gods? It's all just nonsense, don't you see?
Were the Incas and the Mayans and the aboriginal people of Australia not worthy of having divine knowledge? Think about this stuff with a reasonable mind - use your common sense - the reason that people don't believe in God is because they can't - God is incredible - fantastic - unbelievable - nonsense. Ask an American Indian if his culture knew anything at all about your idea of God before the European's landed in North America.
The idea of God, the stories about God are as made up as those of Paul Bunion... For goodness sakes, do you believe that there was ever a giant blue ox named Babe? It's all just folk lore... just morality stories. Don't believe it as if it were real - take the best values it has to offer: "don't kill your neighbor," "be kind to others," etc., and run like hell from the rest of it. Nobody has ever died and come back to life three days later - nobody has parted the sea with the wave of a hand or fed the masses on a single loaf of bread and a fish... and no virgin has ever given birth - that's all just a lot of BS, isn't it?
Don't be a fool any longer. Man and earth were not created with any special purpose by any silly gods and no amount of faithful belief will change the truth. If you need to believe anything by faith (and even as an atheist, faith is necessary) believe in the absence of god... it can't be proven one way or the other and therefore a faithful decision must be made on the best collected set of evidence. Believers have a few old books dating back to 1000 years BCE which were written by a very disadvantaged people; non-believers have books as well.... very, very, very old books and they don't mention God as he is commonly thought to be by the modern religions... additionally there are scrolls and tablets and pyramids, etc. from all over the world, all dating back before the modern age... five thousand years or more (none of them mention the modern idea of God.) Non-believers also have technology - electronic listening devices, space probes, Geiger-counters, and a host of other instruments - all in search of "anything and everything;" so far (and certainly you must agree to this, at the very least) God has not been found anywhere on this planet or in space... and a lot of man/hours have gone into searching.
We, me and you, are merely a part of an evolving and natural universe that has always been and always will be; we're just specks in a vast array of matter and energy which can neither be created nor destroyed. We’re moving through time and space just as everything around us does – small parts on a bigger part floating in a big, big, big system We won’t be around long enough to see very much of a change during our own time; nonetheless, great changes will come over everything - even this earth - as everything moves on from one big bang to the next, infinitely…infinately... infinately...
...and that's not bad - it's good. You can believe it.

Everyone interprets the bible differently. I think that certain denominations twist it so it fits in with their lives. It's really hard to believe that Noah's ark was real, or that some guy got swallowed by a whale and survived.
I don't know if you believe that all other faiths are fake, but if you do, why do you feel that way? That would be close to the reason other people say religion is fake.

Because people are not willing or able to search for truth or to follow teachers who teach the truth.
For instance: There are a lot of "Christians", Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Sihks and others who believe that killing in "certain" circumstances can be "justified".
However, all the above have been taught that to love God, our Creator, with their whole being and above all "things" and to think and act with compassion and forgiveness toward their fellow (wo)men is the right way for any person to live and achieve inner PEACE.
According to those wisdoms killing, or even hating and judging, is Not an option. (Someone should tell G.W. Bush! He claims to be a Christian! or others who claim to kill in the name of "religion".)
Just imagine! If all Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Sihks and Jews would willingly (not because they have been told) act out of compassion toward the "others" (as they were taught!) there truly would be peace on Earth!
Unfortunately we are not perfect and to bear "our cross" often seems too hard (or illogical, or "unscientific). - No, I'm not perfect either!
That's why we have to learn to be honest to ourselves and admit that we have failed, again and again and again, and resolve to (at least try to) do better next time!
Because WE are not perfect we also have to forgive others for offences they may have committed against us.
We can then ask for forgiveness and get "peace of mind" - until the next time.
As someone put it: " Love (I don't mean sex) is the answer - whatever the question". - And that's the truth!

convinced, it seems all religions are guy-made and all gods are an attempt through guy (or lady) to describe that which exists. maximum religions have worry-free concepts concerning tribal or societal beliefs and those should be very strong... yet those concepts do no longer originate from faith. an fairly strong party is the "Do unto others" theory that appears to be like worry-free for the period of an excellent determination of significant and minor religions. If human beings ought to wrap their heads round those wider societal concepts with no need tangled in each and every of the small tribal wondering, the international will be a a concepts more beneficial positive position.

Iam a Christian also and I find that although we all try to serve the same God, not all of us practice what God requires of us. This is due in part to the teachings of many groups which are very false. Then we have the lack of knowledge from the scriptures, so we follow the false teachings of many. And we also fall into Satan's traps and actually serve him in the name of christianity. You see, as long as you are serving Satan by not being a true worshiper of God he will continue to use you for his ultimite purpose-to deny you the precious gift of everlasting life...... Now these are some of Satan"s Tricks, but there are thousands; Are you in a group that fights in wars, supports them or votes for the leadership of a government-if you do, then you are not follwing Jusus who said Iam no part of this world, and you also should not be any part of this world. Why-because the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one, that one is Satan. When Satan Offered Jusus all the kingdoms of the world jusus did not say they are not yours to give away-he knew that satan was indeed the ruler of this whole system of gevernments and he is in complete control of all world leaders. So, does your religion send its members into battle to slaughter each other in the name of God? If so, where do you stand on this issue? Does your religion bow down to images in worship-God hates that and codemns it-that includes cross worship, a pagan practice that was brought into christodom by the emperor Constantine 300 years after Jusus died. The word cross does not show up once in the original scriptures, neither does hell, it too was put in the bible by translators of certain churches. And the list goes on and on, but time will not permit me to go on, it will take weeks.....I just want to say that there was one wicked slave of Satan that had a number of contradictions that he claims are found in the bible, most of them were due to poor translations of the bibles that he used, the others were a complete lack of bible interlect, that leaves him with nothing. The Bible was written by men, but its author is God-he is perfect.......KECK

I am a christian.I hate the word religion. But, think about it. How many people just start shoving things down peoples throat and if they don't believe the way they do look out. So many "christians" have given us a bad name. We need to approach people the right way not forcing things on them. We need to tell them enough to make them accountable. Think about it what if you didn't know anything about God? Someone comes up to you and tells you you need to be saved or your going to burn in hell. First off you wouldn't have a clue what you needed saved from and you'd think they were nuts.

there's a difference between something being "man made" and something being "fake"
"religion" is a belief...in something.
since men are doing the believing,
that "belief" is man-made
or, man-thought.
(therefore, the "religion" is man-made)
"having a belief"
cannot be "fake".
because, you either have it
or, you don't.
if you have it,
that concept of "having" is a real one
however,
the truth (the un-fakeness)
of the essence of your "beliefs"
("essence" being the meaning/central theme/essential/vital idea)
--that is to say, the truth of the "realness" of your religion--
isn't "true" just because you say is is.
in fact,
your religion's idea/s
may be "fake".
they may be untrue.
the things you believe
may be inaccurate ideas.
(but that doesn't make them wrong for you, or make you a bad person)
people are so unwilling to accept the validity
of religions
because those people who describe the parameters of each particular religion...
1) always say that the religion they are describing (and adhere to, by choice) has a set of "must-live-by" rules; and,
2) they never live by those rules
those "religious" people
mock their own religion
by the way they live their lives
so,
why are they surprised
that people who AREN'T followers of their religion
also
...mock it?

Good question. As you already knew that we have ALOT of religions in the world and they're all have different practice from each other.Of course neither of them would deny that their religion is the right one. We sees flaw in others believes . I guess thats why we say others are fake and ours isn't. As for the atheist, well they don't believe in God, how can they believe in religion?

1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (King James Version)
12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
In this passage, religion is man made,,, Men thinking that they are called by God, but have no spirtual discernment, and turns alot of folks away from God.
But if you say, I am a believer, as Christ says to be,,
then you walk by faith an not by sight.

I strongly urge you to read "misquoting jesus" a great book about how scripture evolved. In this book, you will learn that the story about Jesus telling people not to stone the woman unless they were without sin is not from Jesus's time. There is no version of this story anywhere, anywhere, until after 400 A.D. It was made up by a monk. This book explains to you a lot more about the truth and reality of 'scripture.'
Read 101 Myths about the Bible to learn about how hebrew myths of genesis derive from egyptian religion. Read Genesis 34 and really really think about who these people are. Read about Amos sacrificing his daughter so God will give him victory in battle - can this really be written by god? It's so clearly man - and not only that, but jeepers, the same story shows up in The Illiad, only it's Agememnon, not Amos, who murders his own daughter for God.
Read this http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/ It will certainly help you understand why people believe God is man-made.
http://ggreenberg.tripod.com/ancientne/g... - abit on egypt and genesis
Ponder for a moment that the only reason the muslims believe what they believe is the same reason you believe what you believe.
