I wish to scare people like you from my threads go hang with atheists child and to the Christian below I feel it is so stupid that I dont even care to waste time with atheists discussing it. I am laughing at it not with them. I wonder why they seek to discredit Christians who have never harmed them or their family with prayer. They as atheists are even more judgemental than others. Everyone is delusional or idiot if Christian so then go to an atheistic forum free completely of religion since you hate us so much and cant stand it!!!

Before you let him get the best of you, consider this:
In Romans, the apostle Paul wrote that every man has an intuitive knowledge of God and His true nature, therefore no one has an excuse for not believing, all are accountable.
Do you realize what this means? Regardless of what they profess, there really is no such thing as an atheist, regardless of how much they convince themselves otherwise.
And really, what you're witnessing here IS the battle between their heart that knows God IS, and their head that's struggling so hard to defy that knowledge.
Otherwise they wouldn't be spending so much time on the Religion and Spirituality board working so hard to disprove what their heart tells them is true.
So have patience, try to be a witness with that love and patience, and know the more they protest, the more they confirm what you already know to be true.
Your sister in Christ....

I kinda like the flying spaghetti monster. Why be offended? It is kinda funny in an adolescent way.
Don't take it too seriously or let it get you down. Taking offense tends to put a damper on sharing the love of God, don't ya' think? I know it does for me; I can rarely speak with love when I'm really seriously ticked off.
And like Mrdav76, I'm counting on God having a sense of humor...
Hoping the best for you...

No. It makes as much sense to me as conservative Christianity. The purpose of Flying Spaghetti Monsterism is to make you think about how religion appears to another. I know several Christians that can't understand how I would ever question the Christian religion (I'm Diest). Truth be told, many of these Christians offend me as much as the Flying Spagetti Monster apparently offends you.
BTW, FSM isn't the first parody religion, the Invisible Pink Unicorn is also out there.

Spaghetti is a nutrition, and has no sentience. === Edit to respons you at the instant are not guffawing. you're suggesting that something no longer seen can not be clever. we are able to benefit spaghetti and recognize that it is nutrition and non sentient. God is Spirit. Joh 4:24. we are able to no longer learn "spirit" in lots of its varieties. 7307 ruwach roo'-akh from 7306; wind; via resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible (or perhaps violent) exhalation; figuratively, existence, anger, unsubstantiality; via extension, a area of the sky; via resemblance spirit, yet basically of a RATIONAL being (which comprise its expression and purposes)

Just remember:
"Knowing this, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts..."
(2 Peter 3:3)
" Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy..."(1Tim.4:1)
but don't forget:

the flying spaghetti monster is an invention in 2005 to illustrate the absurdity of the intelligent design theory
some people take it too far and His Noodlieness knows I do,
but seriously,
the point is we don't want religion in science class in public schools,
thats a serious point a lot of people are making
the man published a book and its one i bought in july and it makes very good points about why intelligent design should not be taught in public schools

I love the spagetti monster dichotomy with Catholicism.
It's right at home here actually. If you're offended, then you may be on the verge of thinking, and soon you'll never look back.

If I were offended by the incredible nonsense on these pages, I would never come back. I ignore foolishness and answer questions, where I can, with the word of God. It, at least, is living and active, and never returns void.

I'm not offended by it, myself. I think it's kind of funny. I don't think it's serious enough for it to be any real form of blasphemy.
Of course, I have a lot riding on the hope that God has a sense of humor....
