I can undrestand that for some people, pot would make a lot of things seem to be more interesting and clearer. HOwever pot is a hallucinatory drug. By definition, that means it makes you see or experience what isn't there. Religion is meant to be a search for truth. So I don't see how pot could be very helpful there, even though it might seem to be. In fact it would be more contradictory.
It has become more and more evident that continued use of pot can cause schizophrenia. However even if you don't believe that, I think most people agree with the hallucinatory aspect.

Pot is a doorway that allows the brain to perceive what is around it independently of memory. Synapses bleeding their signals to confuse perception. In time, there is permanent brain damage and the personality changes.
Religion, or faith in God, if the subject is willing, allows spiritual control over self.
Mix the two and you have the makings of a demonic cult.

Pot has some healing properties associated with the eyes.

However usage of pot causes mental retardation. We have seen at least one case if not 2.

God's Gospel:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
