i have problems seeing things from a certain distance. my prescription is not that bad. its -1.5. Anyone knows if not wearing my glasses or contact lenses will affect me during a fight? ( i c that in most fights, the fighters are not far from each other)

it MMA fight, no glasses and contacts are allowed.
so the question really is..
is there a real disavantage not wearing glasses or contact lenses , that will make me lose a fight?
will it affect my reflects?

Who said this escapes me but he said in a real MMA fight the fighter will be close to where you won't need your glasses at all, but you are allowed to wear contacts as I've seen many fights get halted due to losing a contact.

It would affect you during a fight because your opponent might want to break your glasses and the glass might get into your eyes, and you know whats gonna happen next. Its safer to put your glasses away though, for protection, and since you have not that bad of an eyesite. As long as you can see. But since you have contact lenses, you should just wear your contact lenses, wearing contact lenses while fighting is safe. I'm just curious, but why would you want to have a fight anyways?

It is all according to who you fight. Generally, if your eyes are not too bad, definitely take off your glasses, if you have time to. No one needs to either have broken glasses or a face and/or eyes with glass in them. You will most likely lose this fight because of the damage you have already received
With a good fighter, you will get hit in the face more than once, which will cause the 'above scenario' to take place.
If your eyes are very bad, you don't need to be getting into any major squabbles anyway. If you don't 'think you can win', try not to fight.

Great, Susie! Someone always has a wreck or hits someone when they are driving in the rain. No one gets killed when holed up in a house, even though there were 40 or so bullets shot through the walls. Someone is always listening just around the corner to hear your conversation. Private airplanes are an every day commodity. Rich people never go to prison. Someone is always having a baby or thinks they are pregnant. The police cannot see the forest for the trees.

I wear glasses. I do MMA. Here's the better question: Are you that blind that you cannot dicipher a human body right in front of you or see those fists and kicks? If yes, take up scrapbooking.
