I take my showers at night, it's just easier for me that way plus I am a dental assistant so I feel like I should wash my hair before bed with having my head over patients mouths all day with stuff spraying out..anyways but then I like to work out in the morning, because by the time I get home from work some days not until almost 8pm, and get my daughter who's almost 2 ready for bed, it's just too much to do and still get to bed at a decent time, ok so my question is, if I take showers at night, then work out in the morning , maybe sweat a little , but just maybe wipe off with a baby wipe or something, is that ok?

Gross! So, what's wrong with taking 2 showers a day? One after the workout and one before bed?

Wipe off with a baby wipe? Either that's not going to cut it or you're just not working out hard enough!

I guess it all depends on how much sweat. My husband seems to lack sweat glands or something because he rarely sweats and when he does you can barely tell. He could get away with just putting on deodorant. Me on the other hand I cannot, I need the shower.

You could just do a quick shower and not wash your hair. I just don't think a baby wipe will leave you feeling clean all over. If you don't sweat a whole lot, and don't feel nasty with just using a baby wipe then you probably are okay. Maybe one of your co-workers are nice enough you can ask if you smell to be sure.

Gym equipment is very disgusting. You should just take a shower at the gym and then go to work. Then take another shower at night. When I used to go to the gym, I was drinking from the water fountain one time and my lip touched the guard on it. next thing you know I had like a pimple on the border of my lip and the skin where my mustache is. I popped that bad boy real quick. That was the first time I found out what was in a pimple. And it is disgusting. White puss. After that, I really apreciated my thought on how dirty gyms really are. Just shower before work.

if im going to work after working out, i prefer to take a shower, because u can use baby wipes but u cant take the sweat off ur scalp and as the day go by it will develop a stench plus u will feel fresh after having a shower...

Sounds kind of weird but as long as you don't smell bad then no one will know. I don't shower right after I work out as I still sweat even after I'm clean, I need to cool right down first. I always look awful after I exercise though, there's no way I could go to work after I workout without a shower! I workout at night.

As long as you do a quick clean up and use deodarent I think it's fine. But if you are drenched in sweat from a heavy workout, take a shower. You have pretty close contact with people in your line of work and don't want to smell offensive.

oh..do shower after your workout. Just get a quick one. I used to workout before I get to the office. I get a quick shower and a good shower by bedtime. Its just goo dconsideration for your patients....espcially being in such close quarters like that.

personal hygiene is a personal matter but due to the fact that you are in close contact with your dental patients, be considerate to them by taking a shower, however quick, after working out. cheers!
