if there were different questions, questions that required thinking rather then just insults thrown back and forth, you would get more answers in the religion section?

You know most of what we find here is common human behavior.

Pretty sad isn't?

I try not to insult but I have this weakness. I back down from no one. Here or in real life.

I always try to treat folks with respect and dignity until they show me I made a mistake.

Have fun but be safe!

I've tried posting questions in the R&S section that required hard thought, but all I received were numerous insults, damnations, and bibiblcal quotes. Few people actually tried to answer my questions. My conclusion is: If you are going to ask questions that require some kind of higher thinking, then the R&S section isn't the appropriate place to post it. But, if you are here to upset people, then this is the perfect place to start.

Yes and No. Unfortunately most people are better at insulting than thinking, so the chat room would probably be pretty quite after a couple of days, because the few people capable of carrying on an intelligent conversation would be well acquainted with one another and there would be nothing left to discuss.

You are so right about the insulting questions. Especially the ones insulting my G-d.

I also love people, and I find some questions are horrible, coming from both camps.

That is why I prefer answering the funny questions 95% of the time.
At least we can all agree on humour!

Peace.

i try my hardest not to insult anyone, i try to be kind, fair and nice to everyone even if their question is stupid. they are looking for an answer, or else they wouldn't have put it on here. so i answer their question to the best of my ability, or i suggest websites to help them. i think if others would have the same philosophy as me then this section would be a lot nicer. (i am not trying to boast on myself, but i do think it would help!)

Most serious questions will get 10 answers or less.

Ask a question that is suited for those 12 and under (ex.
"Does God fart?") and you'll get dozens of answers.

It appears most Y!A's participants are about 12 and cannot answer serious questions due to their immaturity.

Yes. It's all in how a question is worded. You could get some very interesting debates.

Actually, I was thinking this place is more like a park that you can take your 'Dark Side' for a walk in safely!
Fortunately, I'm not walking mine tonight! ; )

The world hated Jesus, what would make me think it would treat me any different as one of His followers.
