Naval Intel? Basically They do threat analysis & data collection. They also do duties as Naval attatche at embasesies. They help ID targets for air strikes, look at satelite photos, and interact with other intel agencies. That's the clift notes version.....

Information Warfare Officers are in charge of the guys that intercept, collect and translate the other guys signals.

Intel Officers are in charge of the guys that analyze imagry and make longterm projections based on collected information.
