I put a bottle of Aquafina water a few hours ago in the freezer, and when I took it out, the water felt soft and a squishy, not like the usual hard easy-to-break ICE feeling.
What's going on?! Is it safe to drink?

You probably did not leave it in long enough to freeze to the point that you mention.......

False on the freezing bottled water and causing cancerous toxions, that is hoax going around, as for the freezing thing, its not being froze long enought like the others have said, as I have a mini fridge and set mine under the freezer, when I pull one out, looks 100% liquid, but as soon as I pop the cap, instant slushie it becomes, now if only I could get soda to do that and Yes its safe to drink, I drink mine everyday this way, get ya a straw and enjoy yourself a water slussy!

Freezing does carry the water molecules close at the same time. yet because of the form of water molecule, a void is created throughout the time of the formation of the ice crystal with air trapped interior. for this reason its density decreases and quantity looks to have greater effective. an analogous reason can clarify circumstances like why ice floats on water(because of low density) or why a lota's shape( seem for the percentin google) differences while it is fillled with water and put in a freezer.

It's Poison.
Just kidding. My brother freezes his aquafina all the time and nothing weird happens. it just slowly turns to ice. Maybe someone in your household played one of those pranks with the powder that turns water to jelly.

It probably came out of the freezer too soon and didn't freeze hard. I'm sure it's safe to drink. Let it sit out and thaw completely, and you'll find it reverted back to its natural watery state.

Maybe it was not frozen in full and your freezer temperature is not cold enough, which will cause the water to freeze in small crystals first, but I think it is same, try and and let us know if something strange happen.

Its safe to drink !!! Sometime the amps on a freezer fluctuate and things may freeze slower or faster... thats probably what happened!
