It's not recommended to give medicine for humans to animals. If your cat is sick, take it to the vet.

Tylenol, a brand name for the drug acetaminophen, is extremely dangerous and can be fatal to cats in very low doses. Dogs can tolerate some Tylenol, but can be easily overdosed as well. Tylenol should never be used in cats.
The problem with giving Tylenol to cats stems from the way they metabolize the drug. It causes changes in the oxygen-carrying capacity of hemoglobin and is destructive to the liver. An overdose that is not treated quickly can be fatal in 18 to 36 hours in cats. Rapid treatment is vital because Tylenol levels usually peak 1 to 3 hours after ingestion. Even with aggressive therapy, some pets do not survive.
Symptoms appear more quickly in cats. They include progressive depression, salivation, vomiting, abdominal pain and rapid breathing.
Swelling of the face, paws and forelimbs may occur several hours after ingestion. Cats often pass chocolate-colored urine within a few hours of ingestion.
If your cat appears to be in pain, contact your veterinarian. There are many safe drugs approved for pain control in pets.

NONE, tylenol will kill your cat. Do not give a cat any painkillers unless directed by the vet to do so.

OH JEEZ... don't do that!!!!

Tylenol depletes glutathione in the liver. It is more dangerous than most people realize. You could kill your cat. Call a vet before dosing an animal.

Don't give your pet any human meds til you check with your vet. I know you're not supposed to give dogs tylenol or ibuprophin at all, it's poison to them. Same for cats.

I was told by my vet to give 1 tablet of baby aspririn to my 40 pound dog, he had just gotten nuetered. It matters on the size of the cat, if it is between 7-12 lbs, I would give an eight of a tablet, but you should check with your vet first.
