They seem to be two religions based on peace? Please include suggestions on what we could do to remedy this situation?

Inclusion and not exclusion. Bigotry is when we think and act superior to our neighbours and excluding "them" from "our" activities. We are family - everyone rich or poor, thin or fat, tall or short, white or black etc, etc, etc.

Hate, I believe is a sin. Both of these religions have the Golden Rule that tells them to treat others as they themselves wish to be treated. Do they want to be hated? Do they want to be killed? Hardly, unless they are insane. But it is an insane world, which is why it is full of hate and crime, murder and war. Do I know what to do about it? Would that I did! Would that somebody did! Supposedly Jesus Christ did. Perhaps Mohammed did too. But these good men are long gone. Only their words remain behind them, for us to try to follow? Why cannot we? Wish I knew! Is it because we are stupid? Or because we are mean? Such a simple idea is the Golden Rule. Yet we can not seem to get it to work. We go on hating and killing, because we use two different holy books and call God by different names, and disobey Him by hating and killing, just like Cain! It must make Him very sad, don't you think?

Some people who worship these religions have a twisted view on how to do it. I feel they just need to be educated on their beliefs a little differently. I mean look at the Iraqis who are Muslim and their society, their society was jacked from the start. So yeah, I say just educate people properly since childhood on their religious beliefs and there want be any problems. I'm christian and I care about everyone and everything around me. And I accept people for their differences.

it depends on how you understand the issue here. Both religions preach about PEACE, LOVE...etc. However, the hatred in here is by individuals/groups who use the name of religion. I'm a Christian. I do not hate any Muslims and I believe the Muslims should do likewise. So people are hiding behind their religions because there is one being that originates all these hatred... and he is hiding behind people... he is SATAN... GOD's followers must take admonition from HIS WORD/BIBLE : I John : IF ANY MAN SAYS THAT HE KNOWS ME ( GOD ) AND HATES HIS BROTHER/NEIGHBOUR, HE IS A LIAR !
So only liars hide behind the religious MASK !
May GOD BLESS you !!

The problem is that different people or groups interpret the texts differently. Sometimes the writings can be taken completely out of context, and so the meaning changes. If everyone saw things the same way it would be much easier, but that's not likely to happen.

The same reason that people of every possible religious or secular beliefs use their beliefs to hate and kill people. Its not a Christian or religious thing. Different people believe different things. People use whatever they believe as an excuse to act in a way that they think is beneficial to their community or self. Its hardwired into us as a survival mechanism. Sometimes it goes wrong though.

Why do people fight over girls? Because they can and they think that their right. As well as other reasons that popped up around the time of early trading and such when muslims ruled the world. Your never going to fix it, so why try? Just contain the extremests on both ends.

Islam says slaughter your enemies. I think Christians have to fight back after the muslims kill 3000 americans like on 9-11.
