I'm using the word 'faith' to mean 'confidence or trust in a person or thing' here. My faith is in Jesus Christ, the Only Son of the Living God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I didn't always have faith, but I went through some serious trials, and came near death a few times. I had a couple of 'near death experiences' In the first one, I heard a voice saying, "Do you want to come now? or do you want to love those that you didn't love before?' I chose to Love, though I really didn't know what that meant at the time. I have had some special experiences since then that have taught me more about what kind of Love is meant here. Recently I had a couple of other near death experiences, and this time I heard, "I'm sending you back to speak My Love to people."
Well, so here I am. God loves you.

Your Question reminds me of the similar question that I asked a group of kids a long time ago. Most of them were very general and vague, but one girl gave me a very impressive answer, and I asked her what her faith was. She told me she is Catholic, and I went home and asked to be a Catholic and did learn a lot about Jesus through the Balitimore Catechism. What she said to me must have been the Apostle's Creed, which goes:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell, the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I belive in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the dead , and the life of the world to come.

I believe in ME. You make your own breaks in this life, not some higher power who's always portrayed as an old man with a long flowing beard. I have faith in my ability to do the right thing at the right time -usually, though even I screw up occasionally, it was called 7 years of marriage - and to take care of myself because no one else is going to do it for me. And I believe that way based upon years of experience - and you know what they say about experience, its the best teacher.

I have faith that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world - that he died on a cross, was buried and rose on the third day according to the Scriptures. Also that He layed down his life that I might live and have eternal life. Why do I believe this "The Bible tells me so" and I believe the Bible - God's Holy Word. Blessings.

My definition of faith is simply planting a garden, I plant the seed and I have faith that it will grow, to have faith one needs to believe with all his or her heart mind and soul, to really believe is such an incredible heart felt joy that one has to experience it to understand it.

I believe all religions sell faith.
I think so because I worked for a church and saw how they did things and acted behind the scenes.

I had faith since that day I was a thought of God, and he breathe into his thoughts, I was one of them, and I became Spirit, God sent me on my way to be a redeem person, to become the instrument that was in his thought.

I feel I know it to be the truth, I feel God is the love and truth, that's my faith I feel him, and know it's him.

I follow Christ.

I was raised Christian, but I started doubting when I turned about 16. I went through a lot, but I came out stronger in my faith than when I began.
