We atheists, like doctors without boarders, have to go to where the disease is. You are infected, we are here to cure you.

Actually, I myself can be defined under....
Agnostic spiritualism—the view that there may or may not be a god (or gods), while maintaining a general personal belief in a spiritual aspect of reality, particularly without distinct religious basis, or adherence to any established doctrine or dogma.

I am in this section because I like to learn about others beliefs and share my own without condemning another for thier personal beliefs. Unfortunately both monotheists and athiests use this category as an avenue to attack one another and try to disprove eachothers beliefs(or non-beliefs) I only try to learn from here and express my own opinions in the hopes of sharing knowledge and ideas with others, truly this is the purpose of this section to explore different forms of religion AND spirituality... the category does not "belong" to anyone nor does anyone have more right to be in this section than another. I am in this section to learn and share my own knowledge....

For the same reason people comment on movies without believing the story to be true. When you get down to it, religions are just fictional storied with large fan bases, like Star Trek fans or Lord of the Rings fanatics.
Atheists have a clearer vision of whats going on in the world so they can provide better answers as they use the full potential of their brain to reason through things.
They think outside the box.

Why do religious people go into sections about science or ethics or morality when they base their answers on nonsensical rubbish?

Do atheists bother you? Chill out. Where would we get laughs without controversy? Wish I qualified to vote! Loved Hellsdine's
laughable answer to a foolish question...oatmeal/raisin cookies..
We need more humor instead of foul mouthed responses. On the serious side, fugwumpa was right on...

Believe in an invisible "being" who sits somewhere and causes things to happen? I can be spiritual and connected to the Universe without the crutch of organized religion, which only causes people to become intolerant of others who hold different beliefs.

I have a vested interest in there being as few stupid people on the planet as possible; and as Jesus himself supposedly taught, "You go to where the sinners are" -- organized religion is one of the last great bastions of ignorance, apathy and intolerance.
