When is the next book release due and the next movie????
Why do u think religious people have such problems with it????

I know what you mean, I can't wait until the next book is released either. Can't be soon enough for me!
The movie "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" will be in theaters between July 11-20 in most countries, on July 13th in the U.S.A. Unfortunately, no one really knows when Book 7 will be released since J.K. Rowling is still writing it. A tabloid recently claimed that she had written 750 pages of it already and she stated that was false on her official website. Apparently writing is going well, but she did say that she wasn't near finished. So, I'm not going to hold my breath that we'll get it on 7-7-07.

I think the reason that the religious people that are opposed to the Harry Potter books/movies is that they're concerned that the use of magic and witchcraft in the series promotes witchcraft and are therefore evil. Of course this fear is ridiculous. The hero of the series is good and is engaged in a battle against evil. And, I don't think that *anyone* that has actually read the books or seen the movies is unclear on the fact that they are works of fiction, so I don't know why they get so upset. It isn't as though people are joining the occult in droves because they were influenced to by Harry Potter....

The 5th film is scheduled for release on July 13, 2007. There is no definite date for the 7th book - it is thought that it could be ready by July also, but when the publishers will choose to release it is anyone's guess.
Not all religious people object to Harry Potter; some believe the stories have very strong moral values at their heart. Those who do object feel that they encourage young people to dabble with the occult...

Movie is slated for Nov 07. There is talk on releasing the book 7-7-7.
