VERY VERY GOOD.

Someone will respond saying it will hurt the poor. That is class-warfare and total nonsense because of the rebate check being given.

If companies don't have to spend money trying to decipher a ridiculous complex tax code, far more jobs of all kinds would be created in America including manufacturing. Accountants that do tax could put their skills to good use.

No tax on SAVINGS. Amen.

Many other advantages.

Everyone treated equally.

Good, very good. The benefits are too numerous to go into on this forum. Go to Fairtax.org and look for yourself.

Some of the high lights are:

It will make our exports more competitive because of the embeded taxes (payroll and income taxes) on our exported products will be gone.

Businesses will be able to make business decisions based on business consequences instead of tax consequences.

The reason politicians don't like the fair tax is because without a tax code to manipulate they will not be able to generate big campaign contributions.

I'm not sure what a fair tax means, but I would favor a value added tax on the wholesale level. This would tax people on what they spend and by default not what they save. The rich will fight this as they would have to pay, no loopholes and no writeoffs.
