Mederma is a great product that you can buy at any drugstore. It's a little bit of a pain in the rear because they want you to apply it 3-4 times a day but it's definitely worth it to not have a big dark scar. It will not completely remove the scar but it definitely reduces the appearance of it making it softer and smoother. For future scars keep them out of the sun completely for a full year to reduce darkening of the scar.

They have creams now for scars but I don't know how well they work or if they work on old scars. Try what they use for age spots, it sort of bleaches out age spots. Other than that use a heavy makeup, professional from on line would work best.
