Well, it has always been a misnomer that men are the only ones that can cook outdoors - goes back to caveman times I guess. So, it's probably in our genes. It's also a bit of pride since it's meat, fire and there's a lot of tolerance when cooking on a grill. After all, an extra minute on the steak won't have the same disastrous results as a fancy pants souffle in the oven.
So let us grunt, cook and have our way then when we turn around for that beer, go ahead and take over...we really will love you for it in the long run.

I love to grill and It is a way for me to cook for my sweetie cause she always cooks meals for me every morning she gets up and makes me breakfast and packs me lunch and then I come home from work and she makes me dinner she is just the best but I like to give back to her once in a while so I grill for her but if she wanted to grill she could I don't think she wants to use the grill I guess I will have to ask her if she wants to grill cause her ex would not let her cook on the grill she could take the food off the grill if he was busy but he would always grill maybe she just thinks I am the same but if my baby want to use my grill she is welcome to do use it!

Men are very territorial when it come to things that they want to do. Grilling goes back into the primal instict of cooking raw meat with fire. Very primitive -- not like cooking over the stove with jars of spices and stuff.
However... that doesnt mean you would be out of line to say "hey, will you teach me how it works/let me try it sometime?" I've known quite a few gals over the years who own grills and use them often -- however when their boyfriend was there or they were having a party they always turned the spatula over to one of the guys.... but I think that was so she could stay in the air conditioned kitchen!

some men just think that it is a mans job to grill, and the womans job to do the indoor cooking. I think that they think that we will get hurt on the grill or something because there is actual fire involved... or it could go back to the fire, and guys just love to play with fire.. who knows,

Because they think thats their specialty's is the grill, most men, well thats the only thing they can do is grill foods, my husband well, thats all he can do, he can't cook, but when he grills i jus let him handle it and do his own thing. It makes them feel good and makes them feel like they done something good.

Enlarge your circle of men friends, that simply isn't true. Sometimes the duties are split between inside cooking jobs and outside cooking jobs, but that's all there is to that.
