Pass the tests, get your GED and get your MOM to sign permission!

The age requirement for a GED is 18 years of age. You will also require a higher score on the ASVAB if you choose to get a GED. Stay in school, it will actually be easier to get into the military. You may be able to take the ASVAB at your high school. As far as talking to a recruiter, they are very busy people, and at the age of 14 they will not give you the time you want because you can't join for 3-4 years. Wait until you are 17, call and schedule an appointment with them. I am a recruiter, I hope you will follow my advice for your on good.

My ex-husband joined the marines at 17. He got his G.E.D., took his As-phab and away he went, straight to the infantry. And eventually wound up in Operation Desert Storm. And his unit was hit with chemical weapons. And he suffers from a host of unexplained medical conditions as well as moderate to severe P.T.S.D. Please think very hard before running off at 17, young man. Why not graduate high school and go to college for a couple of years and then if you still want to join the marines, do so as an officer.

Stay in school and graduate. If you graduate before the age of 18 and want to join, you will need your parents permission. You are not of legal age to sign contracts before the age of 18. No college time is needed to enlist in the military.

You have to have your Mother or Father sign a waiver
before you can enter into a contract with the US Marines.
I don't think a GED is going to cut it. You may have to have your parents talk to a US Marine Corp Recruiter
to get that information.

You are to be commended for your interest in the defense of our nation. The best thing you can do for yourself, the Marines and our country is to finish your education in high school. Talk to a recruiter office or check out the Marines website.

See heres what you need to do. Throw away every oppourtunity that you get between now and the time you decide to get kicked out of high school. Then you take your little GED tests get that all set up. Get yourself kicked out of your parents house and show up at the marine recruiters station in the rain with a sob story about how youre new in the city and just a small town boy that wants to be a star. Trust me.

No disrespect intended, but "Armywife" is correct. Your grammar is atrocious. In the military, as in most of life, you need the ability to communicate clearly in order to be successful. Stay in school and get an education. Then when you have a High School diploma, and have turned 18, you will truly be prepared to enlist in the Corp.

High school graduate and signature of all custodial parents. GED won't cut it without 15 hours of 100 level college courses.

Or, you can wait until you are 18 and join without parental permission.
