Tell Yourself, and Your Boyfriend that This in only a small grain of sand in the scheme of all that is to come. My Dad had to have neck surgery, and He is a strong, stand up, do His part, chip in, and get it done kind of Man. He could barely sit up for a while. My Mom did all the work, and took care of Him lovingly. Being able to help pay back, something so powerful, like the one You Love's mobility, and cheerfully helping Him throughout His medicines, movements, exercises, nutrition, and keeping His spirits up. You have to look past the moment happening right at the precise time the dinner is overcooking, the Baby needs Your assistance, and Your boyfriend needs a hand. Stop and give thanks that You have all these wondrous blessings and love.
Then take one task at a time. Slow, precise, and exact. Love Him, and let Him know, this will pass.
We are not only what We are, We are also how We handle what We are, when We can not be at Our strongest, and when We are tested..............just for a while. We all will be humbled throughout life, and there is a lesson in there, We just have to take the time and care, to find it.
Combine tasks, He can hold the Baby. Schedule in down time, like 15 minutes. Then be creative. Let it be His favorite meal night. Another night make dinner something He can help with, like make the salad, or something He can do sitting down. Then have a great talk. Play some music and laugh. Make amazing memories.
Just think about how busy You all are when all is well, and be thankful for this time. It is however unfortunate that Your boyfriend hurt himself, but in some small way, it is a very profound blessing. It poses a chance in time, to stop and look around and discover what was right before You, only now You have the time to enjoy it.
Best of Wishes, and May God Bless Your Journeys......

Let him know he is still the man and this pass soon. Come up with projects he can do setting around like organizing cd's and or dvds. Make him lists of things for him to look at once he gets better. To give him mental projects for him to go through in his mind to finish once he gets better. That or buy him a computer or play station game. Something he can get lost in for hours. LIke Madden foot ball. That kept me sane when I was unable to get around for a few months. Good Luck.

just remind him every day it is not a permanent thing, it doesnt hurt for him to have a break from the heavy work, and well if he feels that bad about it, just tell him he can make up for it when he gets better, say you'll make sure you have plenty of thig for him to do while you rest. That along with a masage, and just spoil him, if hes close to the baby, I'm sure the baby can keep him busy, play with both at the same time that way your attention is on both of them.

Most men are like that and it is very hard to keep them from becoming depressed. Its something that most of them have never experienced. Try to get him interested in the computer, that seems to pass time away, or give him little home projects that he has been avoiding for a while. lol. Just try and keep him busy.
