No, escaping from the grasp of Christianity is a *good* thing! Keep away, you'll feel better.

What is the significance of May 15. What has happened since last year, did something change. A new girlfriend, old friends, new job. What are the hours you work? Do you work the same in the summer as in the winter, ie like construction is more in the summer. Sounds like you are so busy that you don't read your Bible and you probably don't pray. You don't have very many friends in the Church. You're not being fed at Church. Why would you expect to be close to God. You left Him, He didn't leave you. He still wants you to come back to Him. He is waiting for you. But you have to make time for Him. Work cannot be your priority. If you were married, your wife wouldn't like your schedule either. Let God be your priority and everything else will fall into place. Try to read your Bible at least 5 minutes a day for a month. Pray at least 2 minutes every day. Give thanks for everything, including your job. After the month, look back and see if you feel the need to change anything else. Do you have someone special in your life. Chances are until your life is right with God, it won't be right with anyone else.

Bless you in your new walk with the Lord.

First you need to sit down and take stock of the situation.

Write down your priorities in order of importance. Not the way you think they should be, but the way that they are at the moment.

Whatever is written above your relationship with God, must be moved below him. This can be a very scary thing to do, especially when its finances (job) that is being put ahead of God.

You already know that you are going to have to give some things a bit less attention in your life, and its frightening, but God says to put him first in your life and all else will follow. Not the way you may want it do, but it will follow the way that you need it to.

I remember when we had to give up Sunday shows in our line of work. It was a frightening time and we wondered where we would get our business from if we didnt attend the shows and get the word out. We finally just did it, and God blessed us with more work than we had before. It was a leap of faith, and we made sure we had no extra bills when we did it, but we were still scared of making basic ends meet. We shouldnt have been.
God did provide, better than when we were "handling" it ourselves.

Pray to God, let him know that you have seen the light and the truth of the way that you have been living. Let him know you are willing and ready to give up all extras. And then take the plunge.

God is there, waiting patiently for you to submit unto his will and his way and to abandon your own thoughts and desires.

The enemy doesn't want God's people to be spiritually in tune and will do all it can to keep you from it. Tell the enemy with a strong vocal command that you LOVE GOD and you WILL SERVE GOD ONLY and NO OTHER -- and to STAY OUT of your heart and life, in the name of JESUS CHRIST MY LORD AND SAVIOR AMEN!!! Get back in God's Holy word; pray and seek God's face even if you must get up 15 minutes earlier every morning and go to bed 15 minutes later every night. He will give you rest and the extra strength you need when you rely on Him for everything but He must be made priority in your life. Thank Him in all things, give praise to His name. Especially tell God what you are feeling. He loves you and is always there for you and is waiting patiently for you. Take a Bible with you to work and spend time at breaks and lunch reading. Remember you can pray and praise God even while driving, riding the bus, eating breakfast, in the shower, it doesn't matter where you are. He hasn't gone anywhere! He has promised in His Holy word that He will never leave us or forsake us. He will bless your heart and life and give you renewed spiritual and physical strength when you seek Him daily with all your heart.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

God understands your work schedule. Don't forget, you can make God a part of your life wherever you are. Talk to him while you drive. Thank him and praise him for the little things. If checking your email is a daily thing, sign up for a devotional/Bible study via email (I've found David Jeremiah/Turning Point to be uplifting!).

Basically, make Jesus Christ a part of your everyday and you will never feel like you have fallen.

um ... what are expecting from a relationship with God? if God is omnipresent then there is no where you can be that God isn't. God being omnipresent God is also in your heart, mind and soul and all you have to do is recognize that Presence. you're a busy person but surely you take showers and in that quiet moment you can say "hi" to God. it's not the quantity of time you spend recognizing God but the quality of the focus.

Pray for new refreshing from the Holy Spirit. He is still there waiting for you to pray and cry out for God. remember that God will draw near to you if you draw near to him. I pray in the spirit in my car with my praise music playing, that way when I am working so much, i still have my prayer time with Jesus.

God hasn't gone anywhere Tim. You just need to give yourself a break.

Try to find some time to meditate. Try to turn inward where Jesus said that God could be found. It only takes a few minutes and it's relaxing too.

The only thing that I can say is that you need to make time for Him. There is a really nice poem floating around out there about not having time for Him and then it was too late. It's also like excercising. People (me included) just don't have time but are told that we need to make time. I would rather make time for Him anytime over making time for excercise. haha

All you have to do is ask. When you get up in the morning pray for a good day. When you go to bed at night, thank God for your day.
