We fear the unknown because the unknown is simply that unknown, our fear stems from not having any control over the situation, I believe only the vary humblest people are able to deal with the unknown.

Fear of the unknown brings into play, the imagination.. When one learns to control which direction their imagination goes, there is nothing mysterious to be fearful of.. In other words we create our own fear within our own mind. The imagination and the emotions sort of combine their efforts to make one feel and experience fear.

You must have a better place to have your mind focused. Use it!!.

Self-preservation is a powerful drug. Feeling safe is basic to our makeup. To venture forth into the unknown goes against what we have been trained to do our whole lives. You go with what you know. To break the cycle, we need to face our fear and once we do, we get a rush of satisfaction. This is when we need to be brave and think for ourselves. To use our reason over our emotions and gut feelings. Deep down, we know the answer, but we need to take that first step. Use your imagination and imagine how it will feel to be living the truth, unfettered by superstition and doctrine. Doesn't it feel great? Then go for it! Break free!

I try to accept the unknown as it is, I'm not always successful at that though. I think in some respects it's natural to fear what we don't know because it keeps us in check somewhat as to getting hurt.

We fear the unknown simply because we do not have control over it. The lack of control means we must have trust and faith in someone or something else other than ourselves. I, for one, must feel in control most of the time, if not I become very uncomfortable and nervous.

Aw, honey, we just don't let ourselves worry about it. The best way to deal with things is to wait until they have unfolded and we have the facts we need to deal with it. Most of fear is what we "imagine."

But if you're talking about a future state, like after death, they you need to gather all the facts you can and make the decision before the time is up. Don't let your mind close you off to your intuition.

Do we have a choice? We could be paralyzed with fear and go no where. Or just get up and go see what it is that is scaring us and face it. Sometimes it takes a few passes to get it right. I am not sure that I have it right yet, but I am working on it anyway.

you have no other choice but to face it head on. we fear the unknown because we are creatures of habit and routine and anything outside that comfort zone scares the beegeebies out of us.
