It was not meant litteraly. What he meant was that so called christians do now follow their set of ethics and the only people he's met who behave that well are buddhists.

Buddhism and Hinduism accept other teachings from various sources, even Jesus. But, to be a Christian, by definition IAW the scripture, one must leave behind other religions. One can be Buddhist or Hindi and believe that Jesus was a great prophet. But, one cannot be a Christian without accepting that Jesus is the Son of God and Redeemer of life. A Christan cannot be a Buddhist or Hindu.

I think that all religeons worship the same God only by different names. However to call Buddists Christians, is a stretch. Christ is (I think) one of the Buddist prophets, but he is not their primary point of worship. If I am mistaken here, I'm sure I will hear about it! Christians do not worship Christ, they worship God, with Christ recognized as his son. I can understand your statement. I think we are saying the same thing.

It may benefit you to learn more of religions in general. GOD is an all loving God. There is no sin, guilt or HELL. We are in hell on earth and here to purify our souls, by living in a negative world and experiencing the joys and hardships. This is a learning experience, to learn how to be a better person by loving one another, and the holy spirit within ourselves, in order to go Home. God lives in each one of us, and our spirits connect to him if we just ask....close your eyes and just ask for what you need and the answer will come. God Bless.

If they were Buddist they didn't have the saving grace of Jesus.
They might have acted more like Christians are supposed to, but we are all sinners and all need Jesus to be reconciled to god.

you ust have been rather confused. Christians are those that believe and follow our Lord Jesus Christ. Buddhists do not, so thusly they can not be considered Christians - it's illigocal.

I don't think it qualifies as a statement, just a bunch of words with no meaning.

I would say "There are many people who are following Christ without having heard or learned about Him." I am sure there are many Christ-like without attempting to be so.
