I have no problem with people believing in something, but for religion itself, it's a business. The church wants to make money, so, it needs to "scam" people into believing something to do it. So, yes, I think it's a scam.

The latest poll conducted by NBC revealed something rather surprising to them..It turned out to be the biggest, most responded to poll they have ever taken.. Regarding this very subject.. The percentage was 86% to 14%.. guess which was which?.. Believed in God or didn't believe Suggesting there are a lot of religious people out there and you remain in the 14 percentile group. Is this a comfortable place for you to be found? You would have to infer there are a lot of mislead people out there but, guess who is in the extreme minority.

Paul told Timothy:

Tell those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But their trust should be in the living God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should give generously to those in need, always being ready to share with others whatever God has given them. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may take hold of real life. Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge. Some people have wandered from the faith by following such foolishness. May God's grace be with you all. 1st Timothy 6:17-21

Religion as mankind reaching for God is a scam. God reaching towards man to re-establish a relationship with him through Jesus Christ is the only truth we need to accept. To even consider this a scam is tantamount to searing of your mind as Paul says in the second letter to Timothy:

These also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men.

Certainly the Global Corporations that propagate these myths are in it for the cash. Unfortunately, they don't plow anything back into the business. For example, I believe that all Catholics who have unwanted babies should be able to deposit them at the steps of any Catholic church so that they will be looked after properly. Catholic countries around the world, apart from Europe, are the poorest in the world, mainly because of this ridiculous decree that ladies and gents cannot practise contraception or abortion.
Make the church responsible for its' outdated edicts concerning new fodder for their future income!!!

Lets see what God thinks...

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

Hebrews 8
1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Yes, as a Christian I do. Thank God, there is truth. Love, grace and forgiveness comes from Jesus Christ. Nearly all religion comes from man.

I believe that, even if a religion was founded on a lie, that in it's Church it can still do good, as long as there is one true believer of God there, so is God:)
