Jesus Christ was more like Gandhi than Malcolm X. That's all I meant by moderation.

They only pretend to be Christians. It's a good cover story.

Jesus spoke of loving your enemies, neighbors and trusting Him as the only way. Right wing is a political description, not religious. Christians are to point out error in love. Moderation has to do with consumption and performance. There is no such thing as moderation in sin. It is either sin or not sin. Jesus called His people to cease from sin. He said He will judge. Christians are to point out error to help others, not condemn.

What? That is like saying that since Jesus was against pre-marital sex then how come there are so many horses on earth. The two have nothing to do with each other. Jesus did not mean that we should all be moderates you dumb fool. America was not yet discovered, much less our political system constructed. I feel sorry for your mother, it must be devastating to have stupid children.

because that is what they chose to be. people in todays society will go to church, pray, do the whole thing but then go in society and act against what the Bible taught them...yet they call themselves good Christians-whatever!-many people will interpret things how they want to be since things are interpreted in a million ways today...people in todays society, like myself-20 something yr. olds- dont know about moderation! i am 22 yet i know how to moderate everything: stress, how much caffeine so that i do not have a seizure(im epileptic since 6), school and relationships not to mix them together, etc. in todays society everything is moving so fast therefore no person my age, not even my bf does things in moderation any more! yet people dont have to slow down and look at their own lives since they are so wrapped up with whatever they are doing!

There are fanatics in every religion. Christianity is just such an open term for many different sects that we are seen as the largest group. That means when one of the sects does something wrong we are all equal blameholders in the eyes of the world.

I don't know who told you Jesus spoke of moderation but you need to test the spirits to see if they be of God brother.

On what basis are you saying Jesus spoke of moderation? He was actually rather radical for His time.

Because they are self centered believing in their own minds that they are right and that there could never be any other answer to any question. They will not accept anything that they do not believe rather it be religion or politics.
