Well it would of been good to ask them why. But Oh well, I can still answer your question. 1st off, The combing hair to the side thing is not good at all. That is one of the first things you would have to change. ANd I know ppl will get al lpissed but you have to admitt that most Indian men do thier hair like that. 2nd the fashion must be up to par with standars. DO not wear pants that get small at the ankles!!!!! that is really bad. Sandels are do bad, so plz stay way from those. It is also important to start getting in shape. I dont konw what they style in india is, but here in the USA muscles are good. Athletic builds are what girls go for. Glasses are normall not a good thing for anyone, so If your from india do and need glasses wear contacts. IF you have a mustach, it has to go. Do not tuck in your shirt if you are beingn casual. girls do not go for that. Also stay away from running shoes. Either get some cool basketball shoes like nike force or something, or some cool shoes. THere is nothing worse than pants that get small at the ankles and running shoes. Also wear tighter shirts. I have seen alot of people from India at my university and they will be earing these jeans that get small at bottom and then these huge shirts. Wear tighter or smaller shirts, and get in shape. Also party more. Not that I party or anything, but it is important to socialize and be cool with everyone. I have seen alot of people from India and they really dont know how to get along with others, they just talk to other people from India. The accent thing is also not good. You might try speech therapy to start to get rid of it. I know that is very hard, but English is not my first language and I got rid of my accent. Also dont ride a bike and wear a helmet. Just dont ride a bike walk. And if you have to make a a bmx not a mountain bike. LOL.
I know I will probably get alot of hate mail for all of this but I am just trying to help you out. I go to a university and have noticed alot of these patterns. My friend got asked out by an indian guy who was sweet to her, but she was not feeling him, and it is probably for these reasons.

That may be true of all the girls you've asked, but it's still a big generalization. It's prob more that they don't like you, than that they don't like Indian men, be sweet get to know the girl you like, if you two are compatable then it'll work out. Don't give up on American girls, just make sure you're not treating them all the same. Focus on the individual and you'll find a girl who likes you.

I don't dislike Indian men in general. They are usually very nice and polite, but as far as attraction goes, for me it's the whole hairy thing. Too much body hair and facial hair. I've heard alot of women complain about the curry smell, but I love curry so that's not a problem. I have noticed there could be more deodorant usage, too.

Kind of lumping us all together, aren't you?
But assuming you are right, I'd say it is most likely due to our impression of all Middle Eastern men... that our independence and freedom will be jeopardized by our perceived customs of most Middle Easterners. An American girl is afraid you will expect her (if you marry) to be submissive and obedient. She is afraid you will take her children and return to the Middle East, and she will have no legal recourse in that country... no rights, no way to retrieve her children.
These are, of course, generalities, and ignorant ones at that (admittedly). But in all fairness, you've generalized as well. Granted, the American girls' presumptions may be inaccurate.... as I know most Indian's are not Muslim...and I know most Indian women are not cloaked and hidden... but we Americans ignorantly stereotype most Middle Easterners the same.
That, and there is something about Indian men that seems less macho than we like. Again, perhaps an unfair stereotype. Sorry if I offended, it is not my intention.

You can't make a generalization like that based on the answers of a few. It is normal for people to want relationships with people who are similar to them. Similar in background and culture as well as social status. Perhaps the women you asked were reacting to your classification of them as girls. The question you should be asking yourself right now is why you are calling them girls when I assume you mean adult women. That suggests that you think you are better than them.

1) They do not bathe regularly and smell bad
2) They speak with funny accents
3) They smell like curry
4) They think all American women are nymphomaniacs
5) They treat women like goddesses before they are married - then after marriage they treat them like possessions and cattle or worse.
6) They do not treat women with respect
7) They think Indian values are far superior to American values.

Because they wear NO deodorant LOL jk. Well, that's not true. Just because you asked a 'few' that does not equal ALL. So, stop feeling insecure, gain some self-confidence and have high self-esteem and know that every girl is different and all humans have their own preference. I'm sure you do too.

If you mean East Indian it's because you guys light the women on fire when they don't have a sufficient dowry. If you're west Indian it's because you treat women like cattle (repeat the above answer.)

Maybe they just don't find Indian men attractive. I'm an American guy, and I don't really find Indian women attractive.
