No you aren't damned. I'd feel bad too if I did that. I really do think you should talk to God about it tho, since it was His Word that you ripped up, and the anger was toward Him. He would want you to talk with Him about it.

Who has the ability to damn you for this? Nobody. It is a book made out of paper and ink. Big deal. trash it and buy you a new one if you want one that is not damaged or falling apart. People that wear out their bibles by looking at them all the time toss them finally and buy a new one. It is not holy blessed by god material. If it was, the high priests and ministers would not let you have one.

Of course you're not damned!

I've never torn up my bible but I have met quite a few nitwits I would have loved to have torn up. I didn't, but that's besides the point, because I certainly wanted to.

The point is frustration is normal and very human and reactions to our frustrations are also very human. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Relax, and go buy another. Even if it was your baptismal Bible. It's cheaper than buying all that tape, and at least that's all you ripped up. If you get mad again, to that extent, do it again. Get it?

No, you're not damned for ripping your Bible -

- but I'd do something about that anger problem if I were you.

If you believe in a forgiving god, you're safe. If you're an atheist, you wasted the tape.
