CNN news showed him walking along a road in Iraq with the other Marines. He was mumbling something about the war being based on lies. Said the insurgents are strong and he's not prepared to take on people who are protecting their way of life. He ( Marine ) wants to go home.

His eyes where red because he was sad about a situation he finds himself. It is easy for politicians to send people to war, they don't face the bullets. either that or he has been smoking weed

If you were ordered to be there, watching your friends die, wouldn't you also cry?

If you were in a strange land, surrounded by people who wanted to kill you simply because of the way you live your life, wouldn't you also cry?

It takes a lot for a man to cry. (A real man) It takes even more for a real marine to cry. Rest assured, whatever that poor man was crying about was very, very, very serious.

The term "non-hacker" comes to mind every time I hear this question.

If you want me to spell it out for you, he is crying because he is not fit for military life, especially the Marines.
