My pomeranian just went into her firs het about 2 weeks ago, she is still in heat and also very swollen. Is the swelling normal and how long should this last???

Altogether, the swelling lasts about 3 weeks. Please keep her away form males until she appears normal sized again..

swelling is normal but i don't know for how long. yahoo has a dog site sponsored by purina. you can ask a vet questions. you might want to check there.

Yes the koochi/punani should be swallen. keep it away from male dogs unless you want them to have babies. the babaies take 3 months to deliver

It's very normal..
My poor angel was so swollen that I felt so badly for her. She was spayed.. Will you also be spaying your pet.
