i do. I've grown fond of my grandmother's dog and when she come sup to me, wagging her tail, I just smooch her, right on her doggy mouth. I relaize that is unsanitary, but I can't be the only one.

Yes - I have always kissed my cats but they do not particularly like to be kissed.
It is unlikely that a healthy person would get a disease from a healty cat or dog.

The CDC.gov website has sections on pets - for those curious about animal diseases.
I have been told that a human bite is worse than an animal bite in that many animal "germs" will not bother humans. However it is still bad to get bitten.

Sure do....and often! My pets are part of my family and I know how well they're taken care of and how clean they are. I wouldn't kiss a stray or some animal I don't know. But affection is very important to your pets, it's what they live for! Course I do wash my hands and face after a lengthy play session.

Ummm..not in/on the mouth. I kiss my dogs on the head and nose (not where the nostrils are cause I don't want a bunch of snot before dinner). I kiss my bird on the beak and sometimes he opens it and gives me a little love peck on my lip.

it really is not any longer wierd in any respect! Many rat-vendors do. they are in order that darn lovable. some human beings imagine it really is gross to kiss a rat, yet no longer for a dogs to lick them, while a rat's mouth is seriously cleanser than a dogs. :D

Yep, dogs have less germs than humans. Their saliva actually has healing properties. I kiss my two furbabies all the time.
