Mercy: Matthew 25:31-46 This parable inspired Christians of erlier times to list "works of mercy" Seven of these works deal with physical needs: feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, clothing the naked, harboring the strangr, visiting the sick and ministering to the prisoners. Then there are seven spiritual needs.............................
Grace: Romans 7 and 8 On a daily basis we fall short of being who God wants us to be and of doing what God wants us to do.
Ask God's Spirit to live in you, and find an object to carry with you , a symbol we need to remember that we only live by grace.
Don;t know whether I am helping, but this is good for me!!!!

In Christ's teachings in the Gospels He says a fair amount about mercy, but never mentions grace, and never puts the two together. Grace and truth are mentioned together but not by Christ.

lazyboy08@sbcglobal.net,
He said about mercy:
Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Luke 10:37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
He said about grace:
Luke 6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank (grace) have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
Luke 6:33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank (grace) have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
Luke 6:34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank (grace) have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
That's why I say to those that are cursed by the Muslims and the Atheists, Chritians prove God's word to yourself and to all, it seems small and insignificant, but it's nonetheless an act of faith; respond properly to the questions that you are asked, tell the truth, but bless them also, even if it is so much as a thumbs up! You are doing an act of Faith if you recognize that Jesus said to bless those that curse you.
Just try it!

Those are gifts we give to God by our actions. Mercy and grace are of heaven.
