I have not, but many great thinkers I know are very well read in Puritan literature. So I feel a bit slack in that regard.

Pilgrims and Puritans were two different religious groups.

Yes, I read Jonathan Edwards on free will.

Like all Calvinists, they were dead wrong about a huge number of things. Calvinism is a monstrous, inhuman ideology. They were double predestinarians, for God's sake -- they believed that God *created people predestined for eternal torment.* That's not God -- that's the devil, IMHO. I'd call Calvinists Satanists.

Only problem with the Puritans was that they forbid procreation and bred themselves out of existence.

No they were not that good of people. They punished others and killed others who did not believe in what they do.
