Guys who stays at home and is somewhat introvert. He would be very shy and you never would have imagined he will make the first move.
This is what you can do:
If you have found such a guy and know where he stays, the best you can do is to mail him a letter. Direct confrontation might scare him off. Or perhaps slip a note with you address on it. Anything but direct confrontation or direct phone call. Well, actually a phone call wouldn't be so bad... but it's still putting more preassure on him if compared to email.
Next you might ask, if you haven't found such a guy, where can you find these person?
Well, introvert person will certainly need to eat. So, these type of guys normally eats alone at a corner. Visits the library alone. Or sits on a bus alone. He normally shops alone, sits at the park alone, probably listening to some classical music. He could be a very prayerful person, spiritual and a deep thinker. He could be a pianist or a musician. He's sometimes sentimental and emotional. Often enough, he will believe and holds on to ideals.
The best approach to know this type of guy is to sit right beside him and say "HI" aloud. He probably ignores you for the first time because he is just tooo shy or in such a dazed state and wouldn't believe anyone will be interested to know him. So, say "HI" again and keep trying until he looks at you. The moment he looks at you, straight ask the next question e.g.
Are you alone? Wait for his answer...
May I join you? Wait for his answer, be patient...
And there you go... a beginning to a new friendship which has the potential to grow. :)
Hope this helps. I just learned about this a few days ago.

i think u are in for an almost impossible task, because every modern day guy needs outings to strenghten his relationship.at times outing are forms of expressing ones true feelings during occassions like valentine, easter, christmas etc. some ladies even evaluate the amount of outings they make to the strenght of thier relationship.so i think u shud reframe ur perspective to a broader view of life because there also has to be mutual agreement on both sides, but for the other points made i think we should hook up cos i'll make the right click.

Our libraries in Phoenix have book discussion groups that meet frequently. You might check on that in your area. And also check on the web if there are board game players online or in your area.

Try bumping into people in the subway and rapidly whisper your hobby. If anyone calls you crazy, then thats the person you've been searchin for. I havent tried it but It seems like a god idea.
