Personally, I think that no teenage goth is a real goth, and the only real goths are older. And yes, I know many, some in their 50s. For them its not a fad, its way of living & thinking, its who they are.

well, usually people get tired of being Gothic when they get older, but some people don't get tired of it. when being Gothic started becoming popular, the people who are now in their late 20's and early 30's were in their teens. that is when people really get their style concepts for the most part. so, no one who was older than that has actually get into being Gothic that much. BUT, the people who have stayed Gothic will eventually get to be 40, 50, etc. so, then you will have old people who are Gothic.
i hope that makes sense....

I think late teens til about 20 mid something. I
think by then you can really get information about
why you'd want to be gothic. Most Gothics think
they are in a certain type of group that others don't
understand. I think you should learn more about
it before you change yourself.

Sure you can. At some point it just becomes pathetic, and then you know you're too old. Of course, some people never catch on...

i have several friends in their 20s who are goths, but not the black-eyeliner emo goths... they're more subtle, but they're still goth.
