How dare you ask such a stupid question when you know nothing obviously about the Catholic religion.
All Catholics are not ignorant to the fact that this sort of disgusting behaviour is going on but what exactly are we meant to do???
I must also emphasise that there are no tests which could prove this before entering the Holy Order.
I agree that these people should not have the right to any special treatment because they are priests and in fact I think that their punishment should me more severe because of their position in our society but the world doesn't work like that.
Look at the policemen or judges or other people who get special treatment even if they have done wrong.
I cannot agree with your position but i do believe that all paedophiles should be tortured and then left to rot in jail for life or killed because I do not believe that they will ever repent or change.
These sort of people ruin young lives and therefore the punishment should fit.
I would say for these sort of people"Bring back the death penalty"

i'm sorry you have such a desire to see the downfall of people and a specific denomination. the catholics have not passed the buck as you say in regards to the children that have been hurt. they are seeing that help is given - whether the allegations are true or not. the lawyers are being funded as any family would fund for their own children. many, many priests are being hunted as pedophiles that have done no wrong. search your news for stories of those misallegations and you'll find more of them than that of the pedophiles - oh wait, the press only enjoys that which insults and injures -- maybe you won't find them without actual law search.

I think we get your point now as this is the 4 - 5th Message you have posted....we don't know what personal issues you are having so how can we possibly comment on this, I think you may need some councilling if you are using a website to try and get some answers.
How are you even sure that this is happening, and unfortunately pedophilia is happening everywhere,and its not all down to 'catholics' and even if it is not All catholics are responsible for this, as the majority of them will not be aware of this.

Wildcat - Great one as a Catholic i am disgusted that they defend these monsters by paying the costs of lawyers, etc.!!!, it's about time the Pope tackles this issue head on.!!! Some of us are ashamed of this practise by the Church, hang them out to dry is what i say, not all Catholics are evil most are good but monsters are all over in society.!!!

They're expected to commune with their God regularly. Many practicioners or the Art magical use sex as a communion technique. the late and lamented Aleister Crowley for example, used to hold regular communion ceremonies where he had sex with both men and women and then used the resulting "fluids" as communion "wine". At least the catholics don't go that far.

Well I think it is a disease type symtom and being a preist you are supposed to abstain from sex but they cant control the urge maybe they could take a pill to become permanently impotent if there is such a thing sure someone could figure out how to make one.
