i'm really confused! ok so there's this guy who i'll call "Jake". he and i are friends. idk how you define friends, but we talk after school sometimes, and say hi to each other in the halls. and he's a nice person.
I am bad at flirting. not just bad, but when i attempt to flirt...
"The world as one shuddereth like a child in the cold"
Pretty much sums it up. when i tried to flirt with my ex-crush, hahahahah disaster struck. i mean, he totally avoided me proably cuz i scared him!
i really need to either 1. brush up on my flirting skills or 2. suck it up and stay friends with Jake, who i have a serious crush on.
I'm going crazy!!!
What should i do?

Learn some "moves" if you will. Alot of people will tell you to be yourself and crap like that, which is maybe half true - if your lucky. Alot of the times you gotta know when to say things, how to say them and why to say them. Also make sure Jake is intrested or he'll just back off and stay away.

Well first of all, that's too bad u scared him. But, if you are nervous if he'll ignore you and your friendship will suffer, then wait to see if he likes you. Go to www.wiki.ehow.com and search for "how to know if a guy likes you" or something like that. But think about this. What if you two DO get together and you guys break up? Would you rather stay friends and wonder if anything could happen between you two or getting together and then breaking up and having no more friendships.
Well thats all i have to say, I hope it helps you out on your situation.
Good luck with "Jake"!

Hi there! If you are really serious about him I would advise you not to flirt, just try to be yourself, the way you usually act. Tell him that you like him or have feelings for him. Say it with honesty in your eyes and I assure you that he will at least respect your feelings instead of avoiding you.
Remember, being honest in expressing your feelings is the only way you can have respect for them by the person who is concerned.
Good Luck (Y)
God Bless ^__^

Take advice from a 30 year old who looks back and wishes she'd went after her crush. You'll regret it if you don't. Just don't be too pushy or in his face...he'll definitely run. Brush up on your flirting skills so that he knows you like him but won't be scared.

stay friends and let nature run it's course. there's no reason to jump into anything. plus, if you avoid flirting you can get to know him better and see if you and your crush are really compatible (thus, not ruining a friendship).

Try to become his best friend firts, that way he won't run away if you tell him how you feel.
