Are people that isolated that they can't see the over-the-top nature of the questions? Some are not seeing bob l's questions as obvious and over-the-top. I once asked a parody question about which parker brothers product - ouija boards, trivial pursuit or monopoly - was the best to contact spirits with (trying to highlight the sillyness of treating ouija boards in that way) and, while most got it, some took my question literally. Why?

To bob l - I'm glad you realized I wasn't attacking you. I was just amazed at how many people jump in and treat over-the-top questions so literally. I'm actually perplexed at the number. I know it's a matter of people being exposed to sarcasm so ... I guess I need to keep that in mind.

To ipodlady231 - you're right, I probably had an implication of ignorance in my question. I do know that I've taken parody/sarcastic things literally and when I realized it, I felt kinda stupid so ... I should be more understanding :).

they have a different opinion on what is serious, and what isn't, and they felt alittle affended by your question. please don't assume that they are just ignorant (even though that may be the case)

I think your "parody" question is a serious question and there is a serious answer. The correct answer, of course, is the "Ouija board." As far as I can tell, neither Trivial Pursuit nor Monopoly can put us into the type of trance condition necessary to communicate with other parts of our own entities (our own minds). Since these parts appear to be outside our conscious minds most people refer to these parts as "spirits" and sometimes "demons." But there are other tools in addition to the Ouija board that can accomplish this same feat. For example, the ancient Hebrews used the Urim and Thummim for that purpose.

I think alot of it has to do with their frame of mind at the time.
You know, how you approach the subject. I work retail and I see it all the time. Take the question-"How do I get out of here?" I usually say-I've been trying for 20 years." Now I get 2 reactions. Some laugh and some just stand there staring. Same thing applies here.

To be honest with you the trolls Never report anyone! I am tired of giving honest answers and getting reported! Today some child was up set because her boyfriend broke up with her . She posted it 4 times in 6 hours. I reminded her that breaking up was part of like and that she would grow up and get over it. She reported it as not a question or answer then picked another answer for best answer that was worded the same! I am here for fun I do not want to lose my Yahoo account because some child has a hissy fit!

i can't allow you to recognize why they answer them both heavily or with insults, rant or chat, as many cases those trolls are followed by skill of reporter trolls who record the solutions earlier they record the questions! answer : they do it for 2 factors and probability dropping TEN + their debts.

Depends on my mood, but sometimes I'll answer silly questions with a serious answer and vice versa.

I'm answering to amuse me. Who cares what anyone else thinks?

I don't know why they do, I am just bored trying to make people laugh. We all know that this couldn't be possible.

If it pisses them off, who care's. If they are forgiving I will be able to see it in their responses.
