Yes, girlie girl! And no, girlie girl! Certain things happen, because it's related to the "next" thing that's going to happen, and so on. Kind of like the domino effect. But there actually "are" things that happen just "because."
Well, either that, or your Mama doesn't know "what the heck she's talking about, and she just wants to communicate through Yahoo answers! hahaha!

I really do think so. Why? First of all, I had a pretty crazy life. There were many times where I thought that my life could not possibly get any worse!! I thought it was horrible when I became pregnant when I was 19, and the dad was not a good man, but now, loooking back, I see that my daughter was the best thing that could have happened to me...and because of her, I met a really nice man who became my husband and adopted my daughter. He wasn't looking for a woman with a baby, but it was a great thing for him too. It really made him into a wonderful person to be a "dad". I had a lot of other hardships that just led me to a better place eventually, and also, they all made me a stronger person, which is a great asset in my life.
Lastly, I have a strong faith. I believe that God has a plan for us, and in the plan are hardships and trials. But, we'll never have a challenge that we can't work our way through. Where there is a will, there is always a way, and when we use our will often enough, we become very strong people.

No, many things happen for no reason at all. It's possible that all things happen for no reason at all--a cause, perhaps, but no reason or objective or aim. However, I have found in my own experience that if I look for a possible reason in everything that happens I can learn something, so looking for a reason helps me to grow and increase my understanding and knowledge. Whether or not the "reason" that I discover is "the" reason is of no importance and cannot be determined anyway.

For a simple example: Why did I stub my toe and nearly go sprawling on my way to breakfast this morning? Well, I wasn't paying attention, I was just not fully awake or conscious, so maybe that little accident was saying "Hey, wake up! Watch what you're doing. Don 't forget to stop and smell the roses. Why are you in such a hurry, anyway?"

Yes, things happen for a reason and I believe that God has a plan for us all. Our job is to learn from the trials and find the good in all of it. This is planet earth, you know, God never said it was going to be like a piece of cake. Life is what you make it and you just have to realize God is the one in control and he knows what he is doing. Try faith.

Yes I believe it...actually, I choose to believe it because with all the bad sh*t that's happened in my life, I have to look for any sign of something good to come out of it. it is hope and faith, not some unexplained phenomena like "fate" or "destiny" which states that everything happens because it is supposed to happen. There is a major difference and you really have to trust yourself here because it is up to you to figure out where your beliefs lye.

Yes. At age 54, I have many times where things happen a certain way, of which I did not understand, only to make perfect sense; later on in life, that was to my benefit. Too many times for it to be called "chance."

One thing I learned is; if you know what you want in life, it comes to you. You can NEVER chase after it. So now I write down EXACTLY what I want in life, and wait for it to happen.

yes and no. Some do and some dont. There are things that happen to set u up for an event that god has in mind for u and then there are just trials. Sometimes god just wants to test ur faith.

I live by the creed "In the end, the universe tends to unfold as it should"....

Why? Because attempting to figure out why things happen in life, good or bad, is an exercise in futility.
