Okay, so me and this guy started talkign back in Oct of last year. We started hanging out soon after, talking on the phone EVERY day, mulitple times during the day. We both liked eachother alot. We saw eachother as much as we could, since i didnt have my lisense then and he worked about every hour of everyday. But we just meshed. He got my crazy, indesisive, loud personality and i got his inability be serious for more then 2 minutes. We faught alot. To the point where we wouldn't talk for a week. But our make-ups were quick and really didnt reslove much but we both kinda didnt care. We made eachother happy.
The one thing about him is he was very critical, in a joking manner, but i guess after time it starts to eat away at your self esteem. Anyways, to spare further details, we were on and off again talking wise. Finally we stopped talkign for a good amount of time. I figured that would be it. But he keeps comin back. Is it just cus He works constantly, & is lonely? or does he miss me?

WE stoped talkign for like two months. He'd text mee randomly and we'd start talking again. When i'd call him on it he'd act immature and then we'd fight and stop talkign again. This happened in a vicioud cycle. I finally had enough.
I put it all out in the open. He shot it down and then dissapeared for another month.
He texted me last night while he was out drinking..
WTF?
and the sad part is, i really do care about him. Everyone says to let it go. Only my best friend knows why its so hard. lol.
Whats a girl to do? =p

He is a jerk and doesn't cares how you feel. He is selfish and finds excuses to run away from reality. With the constant fights etc. it is a bad relationship even you tried patching up. After the patch up, you still fight. Goes to show that you both don't understand each other enough and can't tolerate each other in lots of things. Do you want to go home everyday with unpleasant feelings and anger. Are you going to be imprisoned by his selfishness. The best is to let him go and look for happiness and someone who cares about you.

Neither, he comes back because you LET him. Most women (not all) act like they have to have a man, regardless of how he treats her. You don't need to be a door mat or his second choice, I am bored person. Walk away and find someone who treats you with the respect you deserve.

However, you should be asking yourself if this is the kind of relationship you want to be in. Is this the guy you want to spend the rest of your life with. If you have doubts about this guy, don't waste too much time and energy on him.
I'm in the same situation as you. The last time he called, he said he was doing it out of kindness!!! I told him thanks, but no need for that. I wanna move on with my life. Good luck to you.

He is probably lonely but given the chance, will tell you it's because he misses you.
In any case, it could be a good thing but I wouldn't put up with any of that "joking" putting you down. I wouldn't put up with it for one minute. You don't need that.
