That is something the bible does not address, so it is open to intrepretation by the individual. I used to be Christian, and I was severily depressed and did in fact try suicide many times. Yes at that time I believed I would go to hell, but when you are so depressed and down and feel like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, you cannot think clearly and at that point you don't even care.

I am now Wiccan, and am much happier. I still struggle with depression from time to time, but it is more manageable now. My belief now is not that I will go to hell, I now believe in reincarnation and if I commit suicide, I will be reborn under the exact same circumstances in which I am trying to escape, so now it is easier to refrain from killing myself because I want to escape this situation, not be reborn into it again just to keep repeating the same things over and over until I get it right.

idk yet what if at the same time as human beings die we regularly times do not be conscious and only bypass to a unique body and then only could adjust to life reason issues aren't any more what we assume of they are and when we bypass or and earn the right to stay we take an section right here on the earth with each and each of the others that make it besides . and delivers up getting previous yet when we do not we keep getting previous and drained and a touch better unclear about what life is for . so when we kill ourselves what if we could see our life's that the position meant to be always managed by skill of a demon or animal that did what it needed to and to smash our body that it has so we would die like the animal did once you ate it .that way we fail in our peace on the earth and not in any respect sense free only hurting and unhappy and offended in soreness , is that going to hell ? so possibly we could continually all do what we fell is ideal to work out if we bypass gods try and get our understanding and always life

Those who are adamant that a person who takes his life is committing a mortal sin, and will go to hell, are basing their belief on church doctrine rather than on the Bible. Scripture is silent on the subject. There are no verses that say "He who takes his own life shall be damned." According to Scripture, only one sin does not have forgiveness, and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (see Mark 3:29 footnote). That means there is forgiveness for every other sin.

Some quote 1 Corinthians 3:17, which says that God will destroy someone who "defiles" the temple of the Holy Spirit. Yet, there is disagreement about what it means to defile the temple. Does this include suicide? Does it include illicit drug abuse (slow suicide), prescription drug abuse, cigarettes (deliberately breathing in poisons that will eventually kill), tattoos, over-eating (digging a grave with your spoon), or alcohol abuse?

God forbid that we add to the pain of someone who has lost a loved one through the tragedy of suicide, by making a judgment about their eternal destiny. God is the ultimate Judge, and we should therefore leave the issue in His hands. It would be wise to follow the biblical example and not come to any verdict in the case of suicide.

You want to know what real hell is?

Try being in such severe emotional pain that the only way you can imagine it ending is to end your life. Thinking that the only release for your torment is death. No longer being afraid of the superstitious threat of going to a hell you know can not be any worse than what you are living in.

That is HELL.

I very much doubt it... in fact this hell you talk of was a concept dreamt up and invented by mankind... It is just a concept, it does not actually exist. This concept was then wriiten about in a book that mankind wrote...

It is used to scare religious people in to line, it seems to be quite effective.... as all the christians are scared of the (imaginary) hell

Depends on who you ask, of course. :-)

Christians believe that everyone who has faith in Jesus Christ will go to Heaven. If someone committed suicide because they had truly renounced Jesus, then, yes, they would go to Hell. But I would imagine that most, if not all, people who kill themselves are so severely depressed that they are not competent to make decisions. I believe that their faith still stands, and they'll be received in Heaven. But none of us can really know that here on earth.

I think God is just. Justice requires that the pains we suffer here on earth be made right. I think that many people suffer greatly from all kinds of pains and sometimes they commit suicide. We can not judge them for this action as we have no idea of what it is like to be in their position. We know that God is just and a loving God. I believe God is loving those individuals and helping them overcome the problems they faced here. We all do the best we can and that is all God expects of us.

I hate to say but yes. Unless their mind was truly unbalanced because of a disease. If that is not the case then they have reached a level of accountability and know the difference between right and wrong.

People can't go to fictional places. It's like asking if a person goes to Metropolis or Atlantis after they die. It ain't happening.

Suicide is not the Unpardonable Sin.
If you wack yourself and you are Born-Again(Spiritman Recreated),
you go to Heaven.
With less Rewards and the chances to get more rewards.
Yes, they go to Heaven if they have been saved.
Now you get there cause they will be waiting on you(and not by wacking yourself either!).
