So I like this girl who I've been Kind of friends (talk on msn quite a bit) with for a year or so, and I've liked her for awhile but really started to this school year, whenever I pass her in the Halls I say Hi and we have eye contact and she either smiles looking right at me or says Hi in a soft voice, the only problem is theres another guy that likes her that beat me to asking her to the School Dance, so now I'm confused as to If she likes me or not?

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

sadly you took to long to ask, and that might have led her to believe that you didn't really like her. try talking to her in person and apologize for not asking her sooner to the dance. tell her you respect the commitment that she has already made to the other guy, but let her know that you'd love to be her date to the next dance. maybe she'll save you a dance at the school dance.

OMG of course she does! If u have been talking to each other and having eye contact thats a great possibility that she likes u. Trust me the same thing happened to me and it turnes out he liked me. So now we're going out. I hope it turns out the best for u!

if she says hi softly with a smile. then YES YES YES.. But its best to tell one of her friends.. not best friend .. say sumthing indirectly that u like her and for her to pass the msg on... dnt wait for her .. u should start
