I've done that once. I'm with my great friend now.

It started when he told em he liked me in February of this year. It was tough. I'd just gotten out of a tough relationship, and had a crush or two.

What made it tougher was that I saw him, at that point in time, as a friend, and a friend only. Plus, it didn't help that I went to him when I had boy trouble.

I met him at university last year, and we hung out a lot. When I went home for the summer, I realized how much I missed him.

If this person you love is reliable, and, like mine, stays friends with all the people he/she dates, you don't need to worry. Maturity level is a huge factor, as is reliability. And you need ot be able to talk openly about issues.

Good luck if it isn't hypothetical!!! I would tell the person, but I'm open. My heart's on my sleeve. It's your decision. Make a pros and cons list. Think about what you might lose.

I fell in love with a very close friend of mine and I almost married her. It was a disaster. I always thought she was a little shady with her ex boyfriend's. I was right she was. Make sure this person is worth the risk or just keep them in the friend zone.

We ended up getting married. I believe the best realtionships start from friendships. You know the person already so there are no games to play.

I did once and I am still in it, just be yourself and flirt. Since they are your friend they know you so they know when you are being something your not. Ask them out they will probably say, yes. If they say No they you are REJECTED!!!

Slept with him and it ruined the relationship. I would do things differently if I could go back in time.
