I have a nervous habit of picking my thumb cuticles with my pointer finger. Then I usuall bite them. I can stop the biting part, but the picking part is killing me...any suggestions???

if you would like to try giving yourself a manicure, by using some cuticle remover, try Sally Hansen, and then washing your hands with some nice warm water and soap and using a nail brush. Giving the nails a little polish, perhaps a very light color. With such pretty nails you certainly will not want to start picking or biting them. You could do your hands and nails a few time a week, that would keep you busy and stop you from ruining your manicure . I hope this is helpful.

Treat yourself to a manicure every two weeks. It's not too expensive.. and if someone else is looking critically at your hands you may stop.. this worked for my daughter with her pickingand biting issues.
