I am trying to obtain surplus/outdated/discarded fire trucks to be donated to the poorer sectors of Mexico. Any suggestions on how to go about this? Thanks!

Contact large urban Fire Departments, smaller departments tend to lease or sell their rigs. Large Cities buy them and use the older ones as reserves for the front line units.

I have a 1966 and a 1976 LeFrance American in NC that I want to get rid of. They have been stored inside for 15 years, they drive and they work. I am not the owner. I am the landlord of a piece of property and these trucks are no longer wanted by the tennants, so I have agreed to help the tennants sell the trucks. Lights, siren, pump all work fine.

Will give a deal to get these things moved and to a good home.

Coordinate with the administrative officers of the fire departments of different cities notably those in Southern California since you intend to bring the fire trucks to Mexico.

Local Fire Companies usually auction off their old trucks. Check with your community Fire Chief for answers.
