and replace it with a theocracy of cold-blooded killers who will demand that we profess belief in contradictory mumbo-jumbo from the dark ages that even they cannot agree on the meaning of?

I'm not singling out any particular belief (though the Muslims and Christians are the usual suspects). Just a general question.

I'm not American, pwg, I'm an Aussie. I'm on the side of reason, a fair go, and freedoms that don't infringe the freedoms of others.

We shouldn't be tolerant of any group that wish to take away our freedoms. However, this includes the socialists, the Muslims, and many in the UN. I don't know of too many Christians this would apply to, although I am sure there are many. The trouble is that it sounds more like you don't like the "contradictory mumbo-jumbo from the dark ages", but have very little understanding of the different christian churches, what they believe and how they want to enforce it (through free agency).

I actually can't tell who's side your on, but this is who's side I'm on... Our country was founded on the Christian belief. Our country was founded BECAUSE of all those other beliefs. Our four fathers want to get AWAY from all those other beliefs...and worship the way they wanted to. This America, so everyone is welcomed to worship and believe and live how they want, but it's definitley NOT right to start changing our constitution, money, declaration, etc to ACCOMODATE other people's religions etc. We've been here for hundreds of years, everyone knows what America was founded on. We've all been through elementary school, correct?!...if you don't like the way our country was founded, WHY are you here? And if you're an American, and don't agree with how this country's been run for HUNDREDS of years, find another country to accomodate your needs.....oh, but that's not gonna happen, because you're selfish and greedy....because you want the wealth and the comfort, the ease, and the freedom, but you want everyone to do it YOUR way....well, good luck with that....because their are too many people ready to take a stand, and defend what's been sacred and cherished for so long. I know people in many different religions, and they're ALL great people (freedom of religion, right?!) but when did America become the not so land of the free....Remember, we are America because HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people have died to preserve our rights...since the very start of this country...and they won't stop now.

I don't believe that any group should be able to abolish the democratic freedom of process for the next generation---religious or not.
Democracy survives by the participation of all it's citizens through voting and political activities, not bureaucratic elitism or judicial legislation. If people who believe in democratic freedoms don't connect with each other, vote, and procreate, then their perspectives will die out or give way to other groups who are more optimistic about life.
Hoping the best for all of us...

How tolerant must we be of australia...
1. that houses immigrants in concentration camps with cramped tin-roofed huts in the middle of the desert....
2. that has massacred the righful owners of ther land without an ounce of regret & refuses to recognize any rights of the local population of aborigines who actually OWN australia....not the english thugs/murderers/rapists who swamped the place by the ship-loads
3. a spineless country which joins in an illegal war and secretly gloats over each and every muslim raped/killed/burned in iraq....all for oil.
the real question is.....who gives this proud aussie arm-chair pseudo intellectual (a resident of a country that condones the massacre of women and school goping girls and boys in iraq so they may steal the oil riches of that country) the right to pass judgement on anybody else...

Are you talking about the Christians or the Muslims? Either way, I don't have any tolerance for these people. Look at what has happened to American with the Right Wing carring Bush into office. It is horrifying. But, I suppose it is easy for them to believe him they are comfortable with lies & fabels.
No tollerance.

Don't need terrorists (Jihadists).
Read some non-PC history.
Christians(many persecuted) came and started a true religious tolerant government. The government is forbidden from controlling religion (read the constitution). No where in the constitution does it say the government can prevent christianity or christian involvement in government.(a persecution full circle).

Ask the liberals and Democrats! They embrace them and I'm afraid by the time they wake up it will be to late. God help us if they take control cause they will be inviing them into the White House! I'm not tolerant of the above and I don't care how racist I sound. They are my enemy and they want to kill me so I'm not going to worry about offending a one of them!

We should immediately declare all Bible based religions to be subversive organizations, their assets seized and members imprisoned.
Pat Robertson should be the first to be prosecuted for treason & subversive activities.

I believe that the bible is from the bronze ages, not the dark ages. The point does remain the same. I am reasonably intolerant of the beliefs, but not the person.
