Each company is different some give paid leave and some dont. The time frame that you are "allowed" the time off as far as i know is set by state or fed. laws. Be sure and speak with your Human Resource department and they will be able to tell you exactly what you are entitled to! And congrats on the baby!!!! Good Luck!

You should get to use the FMLA when you have your baby. I forget how long it is, 90 days maybe? I could be wrong. Whether or not you get paid for it will depend on how long you've been at your job and if you have insurance.

This depends on your state.

I just had my baby and because my employer didn't employ that many people and her total revenue wasn't a certain amount she didn't have to give me paid maternity leave.

I don't think they have to pay you, if you don't have sick leave accrued, but they have to allow you the time off, w/guaranteed rights back to your job...
