'cuz I've been making jerky, and I was just kinda wondering..............

Nearly anything can spoil and jerky can grow mold or get rancid from the fat in it or even grow bacteria, especially if it has any moisture left in it.

It's best to store jerky in an airtight container, vacuum if you can, and keep it refrigerated or frozen. If it smells or tastes "funny" don't eat it.

No. It can't because you remove all the moisture. That's the reason that people started making jerky. Drying things is one of the best ways to preserve them.

I dunno... But a guy that lives down the road from me made jerky one year and he didn't get it all done and it messed up his system and he about died now he has to take medicine for the rest of his life.

nope...that is why so many ppl take it on long trips they go on.... it might spoil after like 7 years but....

Absolutely, the fat can go rancid. We store ours in the freezer.

i dont think it spoils but you never know. you should do an experiment.

if you dehydrate it, then it wont spoil
