1 1/2 cups sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 cups Miracle Whip
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Place all ingredients in bowl and beat well with electric mixer.
Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 pan.
Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Miracle Whip Easy Hamburger Stroganoff

Change to: servings US Metric
2/3 cup Miracle Whip light, dressing
4 tablespoons flour
2 cups 1% low-fat milk (I use whatever I have)
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 cup fresh mushrooms, quartered (or use 1 can drained)
1/4 cup dry red wine
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 2 tsp. dried)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 (14 ounce) can stewed tomatoes (optional)

Mix salad dressing and flour; gently whisk in milk until smooth.
Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce is thick.
Set aside.
Brown beef.
Drain and rinse under hot water to get rid of extra fat.
Cook onions and mushrooms until onion is soft.
Drain and add back to pan along with beef.
Add sauce, basil, oregano, parsley, red wine, worcestershire sauce, and tomatoes.
Heat to blend flavors.
Serve over rice or noodles.

Sorry, but I've never understood why people like this poor substitute for real mayonnaise.

My own mother could make marvelous mayo, but she also loved Miracle Whip and that's mostly what we had. I just don't get it.

One thing she did make that was at least edible was to mix Miracle Whip with grated paremesan and put it on leftover pieces of toast or garlic bread and then broul until puffy and browned.

Yes. Artichoke dip. You need one can of artichokes, on small tin of chopped green chilis (like Old el paso). one cup of Miracle Whip and one cup of grated parmesan cheese. Drain the artichokes and chop them up. Mix everything together in a microwave safe bowl and microwave two minutes, stir, them microwave again for about a minute and a half more. Very very good. Serve with tortilla chips.
