Most modern Satanists don't actually believe in the concept of a personal devil, but are more interested in the symbolism of the devil in his adversarial role. However, there are different types of Satanists, and for those who do express a belief in literal devil worship, then that certainly is their right to do so.

Satanists are protected under the same freedom of religion sections of the constitution and or bill of rights as the rest of us. They have every right to worship the devil as long as they commit no crime, like killing people etc. Even then, only the murder is a crime and not the devil worship.

Satan worshipers do worship Satan! There is an official 'Church of Satan' in CA. Even with that there are different and varying sects of satanism that have the constitutional right to form their own churches... Devil worshipers do the same as Christians.... only they're quieter about it and don't openly publicize their religion - in fact they probably even pass an alms basket during their black masses!

You are born with free-will.
This means you have total freedom of choice.
Christians (I class myself as one), are not allowed to judge.
Other religions may have different obligations.
If you wish to follow 'the dark side' that is your business.
Inviting 'the dark lord' into your life must serve a specific purpose.
You must first identify the true reason behind that purpose and then make an informed decision if this is truly what you desire.
Remember, faith is based on belief , and it is the strength of that belief that underpins the power of your faith.

As far as the UK's Royal Navy, it's OK. A naval technician was allowed some time ago to have "Satanism" as his official religious, which he is allowed to practice on board ship: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3948329.stm
A spokesperson for the navy gave this priceless quote: "We are an equal opportunities employer and we don't stop anybody from having their own religious values."

Everyone has the right to worship who or what they want. however this must not interfere or alienate others by your practice. By having a faih and a belief construct it is your duty to consider and understand others as if you do not know the options you devalue the truth of your own assumed faith.

I have not invited the Lord Of Darkness into my life and by the power given to me as a child of God in the name of Jesus Christ I bind you from my computer from my home and from all those near and dear to me and mine. I bind you and send you back to the pits of hell from wence you came. all things that I bind on earth are also bound in heaven thru the shed blood of My Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I don't need the religious right's invitation to satan. But if I ever need it, I know who to ask now, the religious right.
