I love my wife with every fiber of my being. But this is a major problem.I was brought to keep a clean home.I have tried to help her.But I am not gonna lie down in my home that I pay the bills in.And Women should be respected for cat\rrying our children hard work is never is easy.So if i'm a chauvenist or whatever fine.Their needs to be a level of respect for each other. Not one way or another and as man i feel disrespected. So now I say that leaving dishes for a week is unaaceptable. For all men who think thisa wrong view my sitehttp://dice1996.tripod.com/thanks

I was a stay at home mother for 2 1/2 years...and I viewed it as my JOB and prided myself on a clean home, nice meals, laundry done, etc...now I work 40 hours/week so some things have to give...if your wife and you have decided that you'd like her to stay home and raise the family and take care of the house...then I think she should...

A week is WAY too long to not do the dishes! Maybe she can go to work, and you can clean the house. You might be happier that way. Otherwise, you guys need to work out some kind of agreement as to who does what in the house. If the rest of the house is clean, but she hates doing dishes, then maybe you can pitch in with those. Good luck!

Switch jobs with her. Try walking a mile in her shoes. Also, try hiring help. Or, Wife Swap? Are you stating that she does not clean? Is it filthy, or is she busy taking care of multiple children, making dinner, cleaning a large home? Or, do you reside in a small apartment with only a cat in which she is not pulling her weight? We cannot generate an unbiased response based on the facts presented. Good luck to you, though.

Sir:

I see your point, but since this question was
typed into a computer, I suspect that you have
two working hands and arms. Therefore, I
suggest that you take matters into your own hands
and wash the offensive dishes in the sink yourself.
I have seen several marriage certificates in my
lifetime and I cannot recall one in which the wife
was appointed sole dishwasher. Please feel free
to check on that point for me.

It is like this... Do you prefer high blood pressure,
anger, and loss of hair over spending a few minutes
at the sink in your own home?

Each to their own .... I am a single mother with 3 sons and i work as well and as far as i am concerned housework can wait .. it ain't going anywhere its still gonna be there the next day .....
its the most thankless task anyone can do man or woman .... maybe if she dislikes it that much get a cleaner in a few times a week to help ...... otherwise as long as your kids are happy and healthy your all well fed and clean who cares ? life's too short !!

Take the money you were going to spend on her birthday present and hire a house cleaner. Say "here's your birthday present honey!" and have someone clean it from top to bottom and put everything away. The next time it happens tell her you are going on a vacation and hire a house cleaner and put on a hawaiian shirt and sunglasses and sit in a lounge chair and watch the house cleaners work and say "There's our next vacation over there honey...hope you're enjoying it!"

Good luck.

Do you hae a dishwashing machine? That is damn lazy if she doesn't use it.

Wish you well with your life and decisions.
